Biography
I earned a Master’s Degree of Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 1997 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1988. I obtained my WI Licensed Professional Counselor license in 1999 and IN LMHC in 2026. I have experience working with children, adults, and couples, as well as providing supervision to mental health professionals.
I believe clients already possess strengths; my role is to help them recognize and reach their full potential. My approach is curious, thoughtful, and analytical. I work collaboratively to explore thought patterns, behaviors, and emotional responses, identify obstacles, and develop practical, strength-based solutions. Our first session is warm, comfortable, and productive.
I complete an initial assessment/interview and review case history, determine a diagnosis from the client’s report of symptoms, and identify what they specifically desire to change in therapy. We then develop an individualized treatment plan based on their goals and begin education about specific interventions.
