Biography

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and therapist with 28 years of experience, primarily in outpatient mental health, with additional inpatient experience. I work with young adults through seniors. I earned master’s degrees in Psychology from Pace University and Social Work from Minnesota State University. I am trained in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

I strive to create a safe, supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. I work collaboratively with you and want you to feel that therapy is helping you make measurable, meaningful progress toward the goals that matter most to you.

I begin by learning your background, experiences, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we identify clear goals and agree on a therapeutic direction, creating an individualized plan. I may use EMDR or ART to address trauma, anxiety, negative self-talk, self-confidence, relationship concerns, and other challenges.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with experience in outpatient therapy, substance use disorder, and mental health care. I have worked as both a telehealth and in-person therapist, as well as a clinical supervisor and director. I hold master’s degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Forensic Psychology and am licensed in Colorado, Alaska, Vermont, Maine, and Florida.

During our initial session, I take a full history, work with you to develop a treatment plan, establish a session cadence, and explain what to expect next. In follow-up sessions, we begin by reviewing what has happened since our last meeting, then return to the treatment plan and continue working toward your goals.

I obtained my WI Licensed Professional Counselor license in 1999 and IN LMHC in 2026. Our first session is warm, comfortable, and productive.

I complete an initial assessment/interview and review case history, determine a diagnosis from the client’s report of symptoms, and identify what they specifically desire to change in therapy. We then develop an individualized treatment plan based on their goals and begin education about specific interventions.
