Biography
I am an LPC with 15 years of experience supporting individuals in inpatient, outpatient, and correctional settings, including substance abuse treatment. I earned my BS in Criminal Justice and MS in Community Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce. My clinical training included internships at Nexus Recovery Center for Women and Metrocare ACT Team in Dallas.
When working with me, you can expect compassion, empathy, honesty, and humor. I meet you where you are, create a safe and nonjudgmental space, and help you recognize your strengths and power. I may gently challenge you to step outside your comfort zone while making sure you feel heard, seen, and comfortable in therapy.
I begin by learning about your history, concerns, and fears and by listening closely to your needs. Together, we set realistic goals and create a treatment plan with clear boundaries. I use an individualized approach and check in regularly to ensure treatment continues to fit your needs. Sometimes, you may simply need space to talk and process your emotions, and that is okay too.
