Biography
I'm a therapist who has spent years working with people across the whole span of life, from kids around age five to teenagers, adults, and older adults well into their seventies and beyond. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, originally from Arizona, and I earned my master's in social work at Arizona State University before relocating to Texas a few years ago. Along the way I worked as a clinical therapist and spent time supporting students experiencing homelessness in the school system, which shaped how I think about the circumstances people carry into a room.
I see therapy as a collaborative relationship built on trust, self-awareness, and growth. I lean on active listening and thoughtful questioning, and I hold to the idea that you understand your own experience better than anyone else does. Together we shape treatment goals that actually fit your life and values, and I try to bring both grace and accountability to that process rather than one without the other.
Our first session starts simply, with brief introductions and a real look at what's been difficult lately. From there we begin sketching out goals and a plan, something we keep refining as we go. I draw on techniques from several therapeutic models rather than forcing one approach, because no two people arrive needing the same thing.
The first step is just a conversation about what's going on; we sort out the direction together from there.
