Biography
I'm a therapist who focuses on individual, group, couples, and crisis counseling for adults, including older adults navigating the changes that come with age. Much of my career has been spent in schools and clinical settings, and after more than a decade in private practice, I've worked with people at just about every stage of feeling stuck: those weighing a hard decision, sitting with overwhelm, or trying to find footing during a transition they didn't ask for.
My background runs through education as much as counseling. I've served as a student support counselor, a crisis and behavior intervention counselor, and an adjunct professor training future clinicians, so I tend to think in terms of practical skills and clear goals rather than open-ended talk that goes nowhere. I take a person-centered approach, which for me means I follow your lead on what matters most and we sort out strategies from there. In a first session, expect me to ask real questions, listen for what's underneath the presenting concern, and be honest with you about what I'm noticing. I pay attention to both the mental and emotional sides of how you're doing, because they rarely stay in separate lanes.
If you're looking for someone to help you work through what's in front of you and build steadier ground, I'd be happy to talk.
