Biography
Clients often share that their first session with me feels like a meaningful, engaging conversation, and past clients say I get to the heart of the matter quickly. I am committed to helping individuals achieve their goals in creative and practical ways. A key strength of mine is guiding clients to discover their own value system and live authentically. When desired, I can incorporate a spiritual perspective into treatment, always in a compassionate, respectful, and nonjudgmental manner. I believe therapy begins the moment someone reaches out for help. I seek to understand why a client is pursuing therapy, who they are, and what they want their future to look like. Using approaches such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and accelerated resolution therapy, I help break goals into manageable steps, building a strong foundation and partnering with clients to create lasting change.
I hold credentials as an LPCC, LPC-MH, and LMHC, and have nearly 30 years of counseling experience as of 2026. I earned a bachelor's degree in child development and family science, along with two master's degrees in counseling and Christian education. I have worked across the lifespan in university counseling centers, community mental health settings, mobile crisis services, and psychiatric hospital admissions. This diverse clinical background allows me to support clients with a wide range of needs while understanding the unique context of each life stage.
