Biography

I create a relaxed, safe, and nonjudgmental space where patients can be themselves. I believe therapy can include laughter, real conversations, and genuine connection. I meet patients where they are, value trust, and ensure they feel understood. I use evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy through a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive lens, bringing warmth, authenticity, and humor into my work. I am passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and supported.

I begin by learning each patient's story and identifying meaningful goals together. I integrate CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, always using a trauma-informed, culturally aware approach. I provide practical tools for daily life, monitor progress, and adjust care as needed. I offer support while gently challenging growth, empowering patients to feel confident and capable of creating meaningful change. My focus is on building confidence, resilience, and independence while offering consistent support.

I am a Licensed Clinical Master Social Worker from Mississippi and a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi. I have experience working with veterans, adolescents, older adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

If you have daily hassles, life transitions, or chronic/acute health conditions that are becoming overwhelming, you are in the right place. I am interested in functional therapy that permits you to move forward. Where relevant, I can gently integrate psychospiritual issues regardless of religious background.

I am dually licensed as both a Family Therapist and Genetic Counselor with a combined 14 years of professional work experience.

My process begins with your first step to get help. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life, and I will support and empower that desire. I work collaboratively with your healthcare team and address your questions and needs directly. I can work on the specific challenge or need you may have and brainstorm your best starting place. While I cannot live your life or make your decisions, I can be responsive to your needs and provide the anticipatory guidance that can transform your internal dialogue or open the door that mends family divisions.
