Biography
Ayesha Crawford, LPC, is a mental health therapist with nearly two decades of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. She has worked in outpatient mental health, integrated behavioral health, substance use treatment, primary care, telehealth, private practice, and community-based settings. Ayesha earned a BA in Psychology from North Carolina Central University and an MA in Community Counseling from Marymount University. She has served adolescents, adults, families, individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and those experiencing major life transitions.
Ayesha provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients can openly discuss challenges, successes, and concerns. Sessions may explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life experiences while developing practical strategies to improve well-being. She believes every individual has the capacity for growth and healing and uses a strengths-based approach grounded in evidence-based practices to help patients build insight, resilience, self-awareness, healthier patterns, and confidence in reaching their goals.
Ayesha begins by developing a thorough understanding of each patient’s concerns, history, lifestyle, and treatment goals. During the initial appointment, she conducts a comprehensive assessment, asks detailed questions, and reviews relevant records. She then collaborates with patients to create an individualized treatment plan tailored to their needs and goals, ensuring they understand their diagnosis, treatment options, expected outcomes, and potential risks and benefits so they can make informed decisions about their care.
