Dr. Stephanie Negrey is a board certified psychiatrist. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and History at Fordham University in the Bronx and then attended medical school at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. She completed her residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio as a member of the United States Air Force. Dr. Negrey served as an active duty psychiatrist; her duties included medical director of the mental health clinic at a special operations base as well as a program manager for the Air Force substance use program.

Dr. Negrey has experience treating a wide range of ages and diagnoses, with particular emphasis on personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress disorder. She integrates supportive and psychodynamic therapies into her medication management appointments with a goal of achieving improvement through a holistic approach. Dr. Negrey will work with patients to reach their goals for their mental health care while also providing a compassionate and collaborative environment.

I am an adult psychiatrist who holds board certification with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. I focus on medication management combined with supportive therapy during initial and follow-up visits. I received my medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Reno, NV, before moving to southern California to complete my residency at Loma Linda University. After completing training, I began working with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group in Riverside, CA, where I treated a variety of psychiatric disorders in an outpatient setting. In March of 2020, as the pandemic changed life and medicine forever, I adopted a strictly telepsychiatry role at my clinic. I have also held a staff psychiatrist position as an adult inpatient psychiatrist in Tennessee. I treat a wide variety of psychiatric disorders within the adult demographic.

My style is warm, curious, and collaborative. I emphasize understanding each individual in the context of their psychosocial development, life experiences, and cultural and societal stressors. I believe mental health cannot be separated from the challenges faced at school, work, within families, and in society at large. I listen carefully, ensuring patients and families feel understood, and work together to create practical, personalized treatment plans. I integrate psychopharmacology with therapy, coping strategies, and resilience-building, aiming for patients to feel supported, empowered, and actively engaged in care that evolves with their needs.

I am a dual board-certified psychiatrist with subspecialty certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I completed my fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, where I also served as Chief Fellow, and my general psychiatry residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler. Over the past year, I have provided telehealth psychiatric consultations across emergency rooms and inpatient settings, gaining extensive experience across state hospitals, outpatient clinics, college mental health, preschool, mood disorder, and community health clinics.

I offer a holistic approach when caring for individuals dealing with mental illness as well as phase of life circumstances. I believe in treating the whole person and attending to physical, spiritual, and mental health. I provide supportive, cognitive behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and psychodynamic therapy skills that complement medication management in order to help improve wellness.

I am a triple board-certified psychiatrist in Adult Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. I completed my post-doctoral residency and fellowship training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. I have served as an active US Army officer and recently separated from the US Army after 11 years of service. In my most recent role, I served as the Deputy Chief of the Department of Behavioral Health at Fort Campbell, KY, where I provided clinical and administrative supervision, as well as mentorship and guidance for an interdisciplinary team of over 140 personnel. I maintained oversight of behavioral health care being delivered through 11 clinics and satellite locations, providing patient care for over 30,000 beneficiaries. While in leadership, I continued to provide direct patient care for service members and dependents, including child and adolescent populations. Due to my experience with this unique population, I have extensive experience in treating individuals with trauma.

My practice focuses on medication management and incorporates insight-oriented therapy during visits. I take a patient-centered, evidence-based approach to psychiatry.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist and a graduate of the Duke Psychiatry residency program. I am originally from NC — I studied Neuroscience at NCSU and attended medical school at ECU. I am joining the Talkiatry team after working as a staff psychiatrist at the Durham VA, where I also served as a consulting professor for the Duke psychiatry residency program.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and traveling.

I believe in patient-centered care and a holistic approach to medicine. My practice focuses on medication management, in conjunction with supportive therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. If additional therapy is needed, I utilize referrals to psychotherapists to enhance management of mental illness and provide the best treatment outcomes. My primary focus is treating adults with depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, and bipolar disorder. I aim to build a strong therapeutic relationship and improve the quality of life of my patients.

I am a board-eligible adult psychiatrist. I obtained my medical degree at Nova Southeastern University and was elected chief resident by my residency program at the University of Central Florida. I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University. I have worked in a variety of medical settings with different patient populations, including outpatient, consult liaison, and inpatient psychiatry.

I am a Board-Certified psychiatrist. I graduated from the University of Georgia Honors Program with a B.S. in Chemistry and earned my M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia. During my psychiatry residency in Greenville, SC, I served as chief resident and gained extensive experience through moonlighting. I joined the faculty of Gateway's Savannah residency program in 2021, where I served as Assistant Program Director, and I continue to teach residents and students as an Assistant Professor at Mercer University and the Medical College of Georgia. In my community psychiatry practice, I specialized in Assertive Community Treatment, worked with First Episode Psychosis programs, a forensic Diversion-Reentry clinic, telehealth, and outpatient psychiatry, particularly serving graduate students, professionals, and their families in the Savannah area.

I am a Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry, board-certified in General Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. My approach is holistic, collaborative, supportive, and patient-centered. My primary clinical focus is treating children and adolescents, and I have been caring for children and adolescents as a physician for more than 15 years. I incorporate therapeutic techniques into medication management visits, but I may also recommend adding a therapist to your care team for the best results.

I received my medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, WA, before moving to Memphis to complete my residency in Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital. I completed my undergraduate studies at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. After completing training, I remained in Memphis and worked in the Le Bonheur Children's Hospital Emergency Department as a pediatrician. I then moved to Nashville to work at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in the Emergency Department Fast Track and After-Hours Clinics. I transitioned to primary care pediatrics at Pediatric Associates of Davidson County for several years before returning to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis to complete the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Post-Pediatric Portal Fellowship program. I draw on my years as a pediatrician working with families and children in my work as a psychiatrist.

I am a board-certified General and Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over nine years of experience. My practice focuses on medication management, which is founded not only on evidence-based medicine but also on the understanding that a trusting therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of behavioral health healing. I incorporate CBT, supportive therapy, and psychoeducation into my medication management appointments and may refer patients for additional psychotherapy to improve outcomes. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Ursinus College, with a dual major in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology and Neuroscience. After receiving a Health Professions Scholarship from the Army, I obtained my medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. I went on to enter active duty military service and complete General Psychiatry residency training and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship training at Tripler Army Medical Center before completing active duty service as a staff psychiatrist and 101st Airborne Division psychiatrist at Fort Campbell, KY. There I cared for active duty service members and their families to manage depression, anxiety, trauma, and the unique stressors of military service.

I later transitioned to federal civilian service and served as a preceptor for Phase II Physician Assistant trainees and Army Social Work interns, reinforcing a passion for education that carried me to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC). During my time at WRNMMC, I served in several roles including Deputy Medical Director of Inpatient Psychiatry, core faculty for the National Capital Consortium Psychiatry Residency Program, Associate Program Director, and associate faculty at the Uniform Services University for Health Sciences (USUHS). Prior to transitioning out of federal service to join Talkiatry, I was repeatedly recognized for excellence in academics and mentorship and received multiple teaching awards. This zeal for education and mentorship, as well as humility, personal growth, and learning, translates directly into my philosophy for patient care.

I have experience treating a wide variety of psychiatric conditions and recognize that lifestyle factors such as sleep, physical activity, and stress-reduction are foundations of good mental health. Alongside medication management, I provide brief supportive psychotherapy, psychoeducation, as well as elements of cognitive behavioral and solution-focused therapies to assist patients in meeting their goals. I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at Cornell University, followed by a neuroscience research-focused Master's degree at the University of Mississippi. I then attended medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, graduating with my MD degree as a Medical Student Research Scholar and member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. I completed adult psychiatry residency training at the University of Cincinnati and have since been working primarily in telepsychiatry.

My specialties include affective and anxiety disorders, and I have specific expertise in neuropsychiatry, psychopharmacology, and alternative treatments for affective disorders. I practice psychotherapy from an Eriksonian perspective and am well versed in individual and psychodynamic psychotherapies.

I most recently served as medical director for clinical services at Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. After several years of private practice, I served as Chief of Inpatient Psychiatric Services and then as Chief of Psychiatry at Mountain Home VA Medical Center. During my time at Mountain Home VA, I was also a Professor of Psychiatry at Quillen Medical School at East Tennessee State University, where I taught General Psychiatry courses and the Neurosciences of Psychiatry. I have an extensive psychiatric background in practice and as a teacher.

I am a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Past President of both the Tennessee Psychiatric Association and the Southern Psychiatric Association. I have been awarded a Distinguished Service Award from the United States Public Health Service. I have been twice named the Outstanding Teacher Award from the ETSU Psychiatry Residency program and was awarded Course Director of the Year for the Neurosciences residency course I developed. I also hold an Irma J. Bland Award for Excellence in Psychiatric Education from the APA.

I specialize in both psychiatric medication management and various forms of psychotherapy. I believe that effective psychiatric treatment requires attention to multiple domains, including the establishment of a strong doctor/patient relationship, the development of a sound understanding of who the patient is as an individual, and a comprehensive assessment of spiritual and biological factors contributing to mental health. As such, my practice includes both pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions that aim to treat the whole person on an individualized basis. I see patients of all ages, specializing in older adults, and treat all psychiatric conditions.

I am a graduate of the New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center General Psychiatry residency and the Duke University Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship programs, and I am board certified in Psychiatry by the ABPN. I received the 2023 Distinguished House Staff Award from the New York Weill Cornell Medical Center Alumni Council, which is awarded to one graduating house staff member from each department annually for excellence during training. I have conducted research on depression and PTSD, published a number of papers in peer-reviewed journals, presented posters at conferences, and written a chapter for a book on medical education. I practice in both English and German.

I was born and raised in New York and now live in North Carolina.

I enjoy working with patients going through life transitions such as high school to college and college to adult life. I believe it is important to understand the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) when treating them. I treat people struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar, and ADHD, as well as trouble with relationships and family conflict. I provide both medication management and therapy, and I believe that medication is just one of the items in a psychiatrist's toolbox and that therapy is equally important as medication.

I am board certified in Psychiatry and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry. I graduated medical school from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC, and completed my residency and child/adolescent fellowship trainings at the University of Colorado - Anschutz Medical Center in Denver, CO. Previously, I worked on the inpatient and partial hospitalization child/adolescent psychiatric units at Children's Hospital Colorado, as well as in the school-based health clinics through Denver Health in partnership with Denver Public Schools. I have also worked in community mental health at the Mental Health Cooperative clinics throughout the Middle Tennessee region, and most recently joined a private practice before joining Talkiatry. I have been named to Nashville Lifestyles Magazine's Top Doctors list in 2022, 2023, and 2024. I am a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

I completed my psychiatry residency at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where I served as Chief Resident. I earned my medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest in Oregon, where I studied osteopathic medicine, which shaped my holistic view of health. I completed an intern year in Family Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences West. I hold a bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology from the University of Arkansas, where I graduated with honors.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, backpacking, visiting national parks, and spending time with my senior dog.

Dr. Alicia Garcete is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist in practice for over 12 years. Her practice focuses on medication management, recognizing  family involvement is extremely important and is an integral part of treatment. Dr Garcete has treated a wide variety of patients. Her primary focus is treating depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, PTSD and OCD. Additionally, she can provide supportive therapy and elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy but on occasions more therapy support may be needed, and the recommendation to bring a psychotherapist on the care team may occur to provide an optimal outcome. Dr. Garcete is bilingual and provides care in both Spanish and English.

Prior to Talkiatry, Dr Garcete treated children, adolescents, and adults was at the intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization levels of care with focus on behavioral approaches in the Depression recovery and Anxiety/OCD programs.

Dr. Garcete earned her Medical Degree from the Universidad Nacional de Asuncion, Facultad de Ciencias Medicas in Paraguay. She completed her general psychiatrist residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York. She was also a Fellow in Psychoanalysis at the Psychoanalytic Institute, Affiliate to New York University School of Medicine, and completed her child and adolescent psychiatrist fellowship at Elmhurst Hospital Center, affiliate to Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Garcete also held a clinical assistant professor appointment from the department of psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
