Biography
Doreen Vosburg, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience working with adults. She has experience helping Adult Children of Alcoholics (ACOA) navigate the lasting impact of dysfunctional family systems and supporting neurotypical adults in neurodiverse relationships. Doreen earned her M.Ed. in Educational and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is trained in Brainspotting Phases 1 and 2, informed in the IFS approach, and certified in EMDR.
Doreen creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where patients can be vulnerable without feeling they need to have all the answers or carry everything alone. She believes healing begins when people feel seen, heard, and understood, and helps patients use their brain's natural ability to process and heal from emotional wounds and trauma.
Doreen encourages open conversations about what brings patients to therapy, their goals, and how she can best support them. Together, they develop a treatment plan that builds on protective, nurturing thoughts, memories, or images while increasing awareness of body sensations to improve regulation, reduce distress, and support emotional healing. Patients remain in control of their therapy experience throughout the process.
