Biography
I approach care with empathy and compassion, creating a warm, supportive environment. I value strong therapeutic relationships and use a holistic lens that considers lifestyle and psychosocial factors. My collaborative, patient-centered style focuses on creating personalized treatment plans. I begin with a thorough history and discussion of concerns and goals, and treatment plans include medication management, supportive therapy, and lifestyle strategies, with follow-up visits to monitor progress and adapt care as needed. My special interests include OCD, depression, perinatal depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and PTSD.
I earned my medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed my psychiatry residency at the University of Central Florida/HCA Consortium in Gainesville, where I served as outpatient chief resident and received the Excellence in Psychotherapy award. I hold a bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Florida and have experience in outpatient, inpatient, and consult-liaison psychiatry. I am fluent in Spanish.
