Biography
Stacey Shaw is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (APRN-BC, PMHNP-BC) with more than 25 years of healthcare experience. She is graduate-trained as both an Adult Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and Family Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and is also a Certified Clinical Specialist in ADHD (ADHD-CCSP). Currently practicing outpatient psychiatry at Coastal Carolina Behavioral Health in Conway, South Carolina, she treats children, adolescents, and adults with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, trauma-related conditions, mood disorders, and substance use disorders. She provides both medication management and psychotherapy, including CBT and integrative approaches.
Stacey takes a whole-person, neurodiversity-affirming approach to care, recognizing ADHD and autism as differences rather than deficits. She creates a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard and respected. Her style is collaborative, structured, and compassionate, with a strong focus on education, transparency, and helping patients improve daily functioning, emotional regulation, and relationships.
Stacey begins with a comprehensive evaluation to understand symptoms, history, and functional challenges. She uses evidence-based assessments when needed and creates personalized treatment plans that may include medication, therapy, and lifestyle interventions. Through ongoing follow-up, measurement-based care, and her True Spectrum Model™, she helps patients build lasting skills for long-term success.
