Biography
Ann Farrow, ANCC PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her BSN with honors from Rutgers School of Nursing and her MSN in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout her career, she has provided care across emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization settings, treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of psychiatric conditions. Her special interests include treatment-resistant depression, adult-onset ADHD, and bipolar disorder.
Ann believes treatment is a collaborative effort between provider and patient. She strives to understand the gap between where patients are today and where they want to be, approaching each interaction with empathy, flexibility, and respect. She values coordination with therapists, neurologists, primary care providers, and other members of a patient’s care team. When appropriate and desired, she also involves family members and other supports to help strengthen treatment outcomes.
Ann begins with a comprehensive psychiatric assessment to gain a thorough understanding of each patient’s history, symptoms, strengths, and goals. She develops individualized treatment plans tailored to the patient’s unique needs and changing presentation. At the end of each session, she reviews progress, reassesses goals, and ensures patients leave with a clear understanding of next steps, keeping the focus on their growth and well-being throughout treatment.
