Diamond Junior received her bachelor’s degree in arts & psychology 2007 & two master’s degrees in science, one in Community Mental Health Counseling and the second one in School Counseling Education, in 2011 and 2018. Diamond Junior now has her License in Mental Health Counseling, her Credentialed Alcoholic & Substance Abuse Counseling Certification-Trainee, and her Permanent Certification in School Counseling. Diamond is also currently in doctoral school for her School Psychology degree. Diamond is a former Alcohol and Substance Abuse Preventive Worker & Treatment and Therapeutic Foster Care Family Specialist. Diamond is now currently, an on-line therapist and has her own Mental Health Counseling Private Practice in Buffalo. Diamond's treatment styles & modalities include Trauma-Informed Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Grief Therapy.

When working with Diamond, a new patient should know that she is very down to earth and professionally direct. Diamond practices individualism and treat each patient as their own person. Diamond develops treatment plans with the patient, that tailors to each of their individual needs. Diamond is also the co-founder of an All-girls mentoring & educational program called, "Unique Sisters. Unique Sister was started in 2014 and is owned by my mother, Rhodesia Jackson.

Diamond's typical process when working with patients is to first establish a therapeutic rapport by asking open-ended questions. Diamond asks questions such as, "Have you been in therapy before, including as a  child or teen (if the patient is over 18)"? This helps Diamond starting point to build a trusting & individualized relationship with the patient. Diamond's next question would be, "Why did you first enter therapy & we're you diagnosed with any mental health disorders"? Diamond continues to go on and ask if the client is or has been on psychotropic medications and what brings them back to therapy. Diamond gathers all of this information during the first two session and then ask the patient if any skills were built during their therapy journey & if they still utilize the skills. Finally, Diamond would administer the ACE Questionnaire to assess for childhood trauma, if the patient is over 18 years of age.

William Miller is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned his MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in New York City. For over 25 years, he has served individuals, families, and groups as a Behavioral Health Educator and Clinician. His work spans community-based nonprofits, worksite wellness programs, labor unions, and virtual settings across New York City, New Jersey, Ohio, and Washington State. He has facilitated experiential workshops, conducted assessments and referrals, provided therapy, led mindfulness meditation classes, and offered critical incident and grief support for adults and children, achieving meaningful outcomes in health education, behavioral adaptation, life transitions, and job functioning.

William is a practical therapist who integrates mindfulness-based CBT and DBT with SMART goals to keep treatment focused and forward-moving. He emphasizes strength-building through Positive Psychology to support clients’ natural abilities. He works with adults experiencing anxiety, panic, and depression related to life transitions such as career changes, relationship challenges, illness, stress, and life stage concerns. Treatment is collaborative and paced to the client’s comfort, with many experiencing gradual symptom relief within the first month and continued improvement over time.

William begins by exploring concerns from past to present, organizing them clearly and prioritizing what matters most. Dr. David Guggenheim is an experienced clinical psychologist and health care administrator. He has worked with patients at different stages of life, including children, adolescents, and adults, and he has treated patients living with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. Dr. Guggenheim has specific training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and foundational training in dialectical behavioral therapy. Prior to joining Talkiatry, Dr. Guggenheim served as the Chief Behavioral Health Officer at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center in New York City, specializing in LGBTQ+ health care. In that role, he oversaw teams of providers including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, who collectively provided care to thousands of patients in the New York metropolitan area. While at Callen-Lorde, he also served as co-chair for the behavioral health subcommittee of the Community Health Center Association of New York State; worked as an Adjunct Professor at Post University; and performed volunteer clinical work at the Weill Cornell Center for Human Rights. Before joining Callen-Lorde, Dr. Guggenheim worked as Associate Chief Behavioral Health Officer at Community Health Center, Inc., a federally qualified health center in Connecticut. A recognized expert, Dr. Guggenheim has delivered lectures to audiences ranging from medical schools to corporate executives, and he has been quoted in national media including The Advocate, Yahoo Finance, and Teen Vogue. Dr. Guggenheim has also been honored with an Early Career Achievement Award from the American Psychological Association in 2016. Dr. Guggenheim received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut in 2002 and his Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University/Washington, DC in 2009.

Mr. Hogate is a skilled therapist with over 25 years of experience providing psychotherapy in a broad range of clinical settings. He is licensed both as a Clinical Social Worker and a Professional Counselor. Mr. Hogate has provided private counseling services since 2001 and additionally has worked in a vast range of clinical settings including outpatient counseling for individuals and families, inpatient services for children and adults, outpatient treatment for individuals with co-occurring substance use and other behavioral health concerns. Mr. Hogate is driven by a deep belief in the centrality of human relationships and the benefits clients can gain from a deep connection with a skilled clinician.

Mr. Hogate has a balanced and informed perspective on therapy and seeks to draw from patient experience and strength in partnership toward a common goal of reducing stress and symptoms of various life challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship conflict, life transitions and others. His clinical perspective is practical and informed by various clinical orientations, yet unique to each individual. Mr. Hogate is collaborative and integrative in his approach to therapy and seeks to build connections with client’s medical providers or others to enhance clinical outcomes.

Cassandra Lozano, LPC, LCDC is located in Texas. She graduated with her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Texas-Brownsville. Following obtaining her master's degree in counseling and guidance from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She has 10 years of experience in the addictions field and 7 years in mental health, working with her local mental health authority for the past 8 years. She has dedicated her career to specializing in addictive disorders, ADHD, individuals struggling with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and life transitions. Cassandra works with both adults and adolescents and is a strong ally of the LGBTQ community and Latinx communities. Her therapeutic approach is eclectic in nature, and client-centered. She collaborates with her clients, meeting them where they are and helping them find personalized solutions to achieve their goals and become their best selves. She utilizes a combination of Motivational Interview approaches, CBT, Solution-Focused counseling, and DBT. She ensures that clients are fully aware of their treatment goals and will work collaboratively to facilitate meeting their needs, finding meaning in life, and finding solutions to their current issues. In her personal life, Cassandra is the proud mother of two boys and enjoys tending to their Kuk Sool Won (martial arts) events. She loves relaxing on the beach and is very family oriented. She enjoys fishing, hunting, and off-roading in her jeep.

Brittiny enjoys helping patients reach their full potential and helping them navigate through life, especially during difficult times. Brittiny believes in achieving high-quality work as a therapist, which means meeting an individual where they are. This looks like listening to someone, without judgment, to understand/analyze their wants and needs. This also means understanding where they are on their journey and trying to find ways in which she can assist them in reaching their goals.

In your first session together, you and Brittiny start by getting to know each other and getting some background information. You'll then discuss what brings you to therapy and your goals, which will help you and Brittiny create a treatment plan, customized for you. Depending on the client, she might assign homework in between session. Which can include worksheets, journaling exercises, a little research on different disorders, or self-help books to help you better recognize and manage your diagnosis. However, it is always up to the client.
