Biography
I offer a flexible, collaborative approach and draw from a wide range of therapeutic modalities, including ARC (Attachment, Regulation, and Competency), Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused approaches. I encourage openness and honesty around expectations and values, as this helps guide meaningful and effective treatment. If a particular strategy does not feel helpful, I work with patients to understand why and adjust accordingly. I view patients as the experts on their own experiences. Homework and worksheets are available upon request but are never required.
I focus on building trust by developing goals and treatment plans collaboratively with patients, taking into account lifestyle, aspirations, past experiences with mental health treatment, symptoms, and personal values. Together, my patients and I create achievable goals designed to produce tangible improvements in overall quality of life.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts. I earned my MS from Suffolk University and my BS from UMass Amherst. My professional background includes work in community service agencies, public school systems, and drop-in centers, giving me experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds, diagnoses, family structures, and life goals.
