Biography
Stephanie Smigiel, LPC, has worked in behavioral health since 2013, serving individuals and families across the lifespan in outpatient, school, community, local government, and virtual settings. She holds a PhD in Instructional Leadership and Management from Robert Morris University and a master’s in Clinical Counseling from Waynesburg University. She has held clinical and administrative roles, including clinical director at a nonprofit supporting children with behavioral and mental health needs. She specializes in autism spectrum disorder and is trained in CPT, EMDR, and CBT.
Stephanie creates a warm, supportive environment where patients feel heard, valued, and respected. She believes everyone has a story worth honoring and works collaboratively with patients to align treatment with their values and goals. She prioritizes open communication and walks alongside each person with compassion, encouragement, and a strengths-based perspective.
Stephanie begins by understanding each patient’s history, concerns, strengths, and goals. From there, she collaborates to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that reflect the patient’s preferences and desired outcomes, ensuring care is practical, empowering, and goal focused.
