Saria El Haddad, MD

Dr. Saria El Haddad is double boarded in general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. She previously held a leadership role of medical director for the dual diagnosis partial hospitalization program at the Brigham and Women's Faulkner hospital where she helped create and establish this program, and also worked as an outpatient addiction psychiatrist. She has been involved in teaching and has maintained an academic affiliation with the Harvard Medical School. In addition, she has appeared in numerous professional publications and authored several research papers.  

Dr. El Haddad received her medical degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon and completed her psychiatry residency program at the University of Virginia. She completed a fellowship in addiction psychiatry through Boston University after which she started working at the Brigham and Women's hospital. Dr. El Haddad's approach to treatment focuses on adopting a holistic approach through behavioral change, medication management, and brief psychotherapy.

Dr. Steven Cartun is a board-certified psychiatrist and faculty member at Yale School of Medicine. He completed dual residencies in Psychiatry and Laboratory Medicine at Yale University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Cartun was appointed by the Obama White House to Start Up America, supporting young entrepreneurs. Osman Athar, MD

Dr. Osman Athar is board certified in General Psychiatry and board eligible in Consult-Liaison Psychiatry. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rice University and McGovern Medical School for his medical doctorate, and went on to complete a psychiatry residency at the University of Texas-Houston, where he served as a chief resident. Afterward, he completed a fellowship in Consult-Liaison Psychiatry at Louisiana State University - Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. Dr. Athar has experience in treating a wide variety of conditions, including Major Depression, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Eating Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, PTSD, Substance Use Disorders, Delirium, Dementia, and Mental Disorders due to Another Medical Condition. Dr. Athar primarily focuses on medication management in his practice but will typically also use supportive therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy skills with his patients in order to maximize wellness and recovery. Dr. Athar held an academic appointment at the University of Mississippi Medical Center where he was an assistant professor of psychiatry. Violetta Aranda, LPC

Violetta Aranda, LPC is a native South Texan and second generation Mexican- American. She is a 2011 graduate of St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas and obtained full LPC licensure in Texas in August of 2017. Her practice focuses on cognitive behavioral modalities within a humanistic client-centered approach to foster healing through self-acceptance and self-awareness. She has over a decade's worth of experience working within the mental health field and fifteen years working directly with children and adolescents in various capacities. Before joining Talkiatry, Miss Aranda practiced exclusively within the community health sector and these experiences provided the opportunity to become fully immersed in Trauma and Crisis Management and fostered the passion for evolving research in the treatment of trauma-informed care. She now aspires to utilize these allocated experiences and passion for the field to promote mental health awareness, client advocacy, and quality of care.

Vitaly Chernish, MD

Dr. Vitaly Chernish is a board-certified psychiatrist. He earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he also completed his psychiatry residency training. Following residency, he relocated to New York City and worked at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He also held an academic appointment as Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Chernish specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Dr. Chernish strives to create a therapeutic environment that balances empathy and compassion with structure and clinical clarity. Patients can expect a thoughtful, respectful approach that prioritizes understanding their concerns while providing clear guidance and evidence-based recommendations.

Initial visits involve a comprehensive evaluation of psychiatric, medical, and psychosocial history, current symptoms, and medication use to ensure care is individualized and appropriate. Amanda Kerr, DO

Dr. Amanda Kerr is a board-certified Psychiatrist. Her practice focuses on medication management, though she passionately believes in a holistic approach. She attended Boston University for her undergraduate studies and Loyola Marymount University for graduate school. She then completed her training at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine for residency, where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident during her final year. After completion of her residency in 2016, she dedicated seven years to serving a wide range of patients in a community mental health setting, both in-person and via telepsychiatry. She also serves as a provider at an Intensive Outpatient Program. She has experience treating patients with depressive and bipolar disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and OCD. She also has extensive teaching experience in various settings. Dr. Kerr has a gentle and approachable style when providing medication management in conjunction with supportive psychotherapy, and at times Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to more fully address each individual's needs. She utilizes mindfulness approaches as well, which she finds personally meaningful in her practices of meditation and yoga.
