Biography
I'm a therapist, and most of what I see is adults working through stress, anxiety, depression, and the disruption that comes with big life transitions. Over more than ten years I've worked across nonprofit organizations, a psychiatric hospital, and private practice, and I'm licensed in Texas, Louisiana, and Washington. A lot of the people I sit with are women and professionals in demanding roles, the kind who hold everything together for everyone else and don't always leave room to look after themselves.
I'm warm and relatable, but I'm also direct. If I notice a pattern, I'll name it. Therapy with me is collaborative and practical, not something I do to you. In a first session I want to understand your history, what's weighing on you now, and where you'd actually like to end up, and from there we set realistic goals rather than vague ones. I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused work, and your own existing strengths to help you make sense of emotional patterns, hold clearer boundaries, and communicate in ways that feel truer to you.
My aim isn't a quick fix; it's change that holds up over time, built one honest conversation at a time.
Deciding to start therapy takes something. If you've read this far, you've already begun the part most people find hardest, and I'd be glad to take the next step with you.
