Biography
Carrie DuPont, LMFT, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, and addictions counselor with 15 years of clinical experience across inpatient, outpatient, community mental health, private practice, telehealth, and university counseling settings. She is EMDR trained and utilizes evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, mindfulness-based interventions, and family systems therapy. Carrie specializes in trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, OCD, ADHD, substance use, and relational concerns.
Carrie believes therapy is most effective when built on trust, honesty, and collaboration. She creates a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can safely explore difficult emotions, experiences, and patterns. Her style is warm, direct, and practical, helping clients gain insight while developing tools they can use in daily life. She takes a trauma-informed approach and tailors treatment to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
Carrie begins with a thorough assessment to understand each client’s history, concerns, strengths, and goals. Together, they identify patterns, triggers, and underlying factors contributing to distress, then establish meaningful treatment goals. Depending on individual needs, sessions may focus on emotional regulation, trauma processing, relationships, coping skills, or challenging unhelpful thoughts. She integrates evidence-based interventions and regularly reviews progress to support lasting change.
