Most of my work as a therapist, over the last fifteen years, has been with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and the tangle of relationships and co-occurring struggles that rarely come one at a time. I've also spent a lot of time alongside parents raising kids on the Autism Spectrum, which asks its own kind of patience and reworking of expectations. I've practiced across telehealth, community mental health, and integrated care, so I've seen how differently support has to fit depending on where someone is in their life.

I'll start by getting to know your story: what's hard right now, sure, but also what you're good at and where you actually want to be headed. From there we build a plan that lines up with what matters to you, not a generic checklist. My style is both supportive and active. I want you to feel better, and I also want you to walk away with practical tools you can use on a Tuesday afternoon. Depending on the day, a session might involve skill-building, working through emotions, some mindfulness, or slower insight work, and I lean on Motivational Interviewing when change needs to come from you rather than from me pushing. We check on progress as we go and adjust when something isn't landing.

I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I offer flexible telehealth so care stays consistent. The first step is just a conversation, and we'll sort out the direction together from there.

I'm a therapist who focuses on talk therapy for adolescents and adults, and I've spent more than 14 years doing this work across outpatient clinics, schools, and, for the last six-plus years, over telehealth. I earned my Master of Social Work from East Carolina University after my Bachelor of Social Work at Elizabeth City State University, and that range of settings has taught me to work with people at very different points in their lives.

I treat therapy as a partnership built on accountability and steady progress. I tend to think of myself as a guide rather than someone with all the answers, and I lean on evidence-based practices, skill-building, psychoeducation, and practical strategies you can actually use. I'll often send you off with something to work on between sessions, because the growth that lasts usually happens outside the room. You're in the driver's seat here. I ask for open communication and honest feedback, and if something in our approach isn't working, I want to hear it so we can adjust. Expect me to check in on your goals and to ask you to come to our time together with some intention about what you want out of it.

What matters most to me is that the progress we make is meaningful and sustainable, not just a good session that fades by Tuesday. Reach out when you're ready to get to work.

I've spent years as a therapist treating adults through the kind of stress, health concerns, trauma, and life transitions that quietly reshape how a person gets through an ordinary day. Before I moved into therapy in 2016, I worked in case management and medical social work, sitting with individuals and families as they navigated complicated life and health challenges. That background still shapes how I listen: I pay attention to real life, not just a diagnosis on a chart. I see many adults, including older adults, who are managing more than one thing at once and want practical support rather than abstractions.

I start by learning your story, your strengths, and what you're actually hoping to change. Early on, my focus is helping you feel grounded and genuinely heard, because not much useful happens before that. From there we build a plan together, drawing on trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. As a certified yoga teacher trained in trauma-informed practice, I keep a mind and body perspective in view, and I check in often to make sure the work still fits your goals. My style is practical, compassionate, and approachable, and I set the pace to match you. I offer sessions in English and Spanish.

I'm a therapist with experience treating anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, and the emotional upheaval that comes with big life transitions. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, much of my focus is on helping people who feel stuck in their reactions, worn down by past experiences, or unsure of who they are in the middle of a season of change.

I think healing and growth belong together, so I pay attention to more than symptoms. Identity, purpose, and personal values matter in this work, and for those who want it, faith has a place in our conversations too. I start with a thorough first session to really understand your history, what's weighing on you now, and what you're hoping to move toward. From there, we build a plan that fits your goals, drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and emotion-focused strategies. I'll also send you off with practical tools to use between our sessions, because a lot of the real work happens in your day-to-day life.

My aim is for you to feel more grounded and more in charge of your own direction, not managed. I value honesty, and I'll be honest with you in return.

If you're tired of carrying old wounds or navigating a change that's left you off balance, let's talk about what steadier ground could look like for you.

I'm a therapist, and most of what I see are adults and older adults working through the concerns that shape their daily lives. Over the years I've practiced across psychiatric facilities, residential programs, outpatient clinics, private practice, and educational settings, and I've collaborated with providers all over the community. That range taught me to pay attention to people whose needs don't fit neatly into a single box.

I try to look at the whole person rather than a symptom or a diagnosis. How you're feeling emotionally and mentally is tied up with your physical health, your relationships, and the environment you live in, and I keep all of that in view. Depending on what you're working toward, I draw on approaches like CBT, solution-focused and humanistic work, existential therapy, and EMDR, matching the method to the person rather than the other way around.

My pace is calm and unhurried, and I follow your lead instead of pushing. Early on, I'm mostly focused on building trust and getting a real understanding of what's affecting you before we go anywhere. I stay authentic and open, and I'd rather be honest with you than tell you what's easy to hear. My hope is that you leave with a bit more insight and a clearer sense of where you're headed.

Bring whatever's on your mind to a first visit, and we'll work through it side by side.

I'm a licensed counselor who focuses on helping adolescents and adults work through depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and the patterns that come with co-dependency and addictive behaviors. I'm licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and New York, and as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, so I've had the chance to sit with a wide range of people at very different points in their lives.

What matters most to me is genuineness. I won't pretend to have all the answers or dress things up, and I'd rather be honest with you than tell you what's easy to hear. A lot of the people I see have been carrying something painful for a long time, sometimes the effects of sexual abuse or a loss they've never fully spoken about, and they need to feel understood and respected before any real work can happen. In a session, that usually looks like slowing down, letting you say things at your own pace, and staying open-minded about wherever the conversation goes. From there we work together to make sense of your experiences, build some insight into them, and put practical coping strategies in place.

My hope is that healing, growth, and a little more resilience come out of that process, though I never promise a timeline. If you've been quietly holding onto something and want someone in your corner while you sort through it, reach out and let's talk.

I'm a therapist, and most of what I see is adults trying to stay afloat in a world that never stops pinging at them: ADHD that makes focus feel like a moving target, anxiety that hums under everything, and the particular flavor of burnout that comes from being always reachable and never quite caught up. I started practicing in 2011, and I've worked across private practice, residential, county, and school settings, both as a therapist and a supervisor, which has taught me that no two people arrive at the same fork in the road for the same reasons.

I practice from a feminist, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent-affirming lens, and I lean toward collaboration over prescription. Early on, I want to understand your strengths as much as your struggles, past and present, and then figure out with you what a more balanced life would actually look like. In practice, that means we'll pull from mind-body, cognitive-behavioral, and attachment-based approaches depending on what fits you, and we'll build routines and skills that hold up outside the room. When it helps, I'll coordinate with your psychiatrist so the plan stays coherent rather than scattered.

My pace is steady and my questions are direct, but the shape of the work is always yours to steer. If the constant noise of modern life has left you frayed and looking for something more grounded, let's talk about where to start.

Most of my work as a therapist is with individuals and couples working through anxiety, depression, grief, and the kind of stress that builds up from work and family life. A lot of what I see comes down to transitions, the moments when someone's usual footing shifts and they're trying to find a new one. I also work with adolescents and older adults, so the range of stories I hear is wide, and I like that.

My style is collaborative and goal-oriented. I do a fair amount of compassionate listening, but I'm also practical, and I care about giving you something you can actually use once you leave the room. In a first session, I want to hear your story, what's weighing on you right now, and what you're hoping therapy can change. From there we shape a plan that fits you, which might mean skill-building, noticing patterns you hadn't named before, and coping strategies you can try between our conversations. I check in regularly on how things are going and adjust as your needs shift, because therapy shouldn't stay frozen while your life keeps moving.

What matters to me is that the work stays connected to your own values and strengths, not some generic idea of progress.

Deciding to start is often the hardest part. If you've gotten this far in reading, you've already begun turning toward something, and I'd be glad to help you take the next step.

I trained as a therapist, and I mostly work with adults and older adults who want a space to be themselves without smoothing over the hard parts. Over the years I've worked with veterans, adolescents, older folks, and the LGBTQIA+ community, and what carries across all of them is a simple thing: people want to feel seen, heard, and supported. That's where I start.

My sessions are relaxed. There's room for real conversation, and honestly, there's room for laughter too. I don't think therapy has to be solemn to be serious. I lean on approaches like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and I keep the work trauma-informed and culturally aware, so we're not pretending your context doesn't matter. First, I want to hear your story. Then we figure out together what actually matters to you and what you'd like to be different.

I'll offer support, and I'll also gently push where I think growth is waiting. I bring practical tools you can use in daily life, and I check in on how things are landing so we can adjust as we go. My hope is that you walk out feeling more confident, more resilient, and more able to handle things on your own.

Curious whether the two of us would click? That's exactly what a first visit is for.

My work as a therapist centers on people who want a genuine partner in the room, not someone who hands down a plan and expects them to follow it. Over fourteen years in clinical social work, and thirteen of those in substance use treatment, I've worked across residential and inpatient care, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, community mental health, and integrated primary care. That range taught me to treat the person in front of me as the expert on their own experience, because they are.

Early on, I use structured assessments to get a clear read on your goals, your strengths, and the parts that feel stuck. I hold goal-setting as a moving target, something we revisit rather than fix in place. Depending on what fits, I draw on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strengths-based and narrative work, and motivational enhancement. Expect me to suggest small, concrete steps to try between sessions, and expect me to ask for your honest feedback so we can adjust as we go. Self-determination, cultural respect, and trauma-informed care aren't add-ons for me; they shape how every conversation runs.

I also work with older adults, and I take that stage of life seriously rather than treating it as a footnote.

Deciding to start therapy takes real effort, and noticing that you're ready is its own kind of progress. When you're prepared to take the next step, I'll be here to take it with you.

I'm a therapist specializing in the anxiety, panic, and depression that tend to surface during life transitions: a career change, a shift in a relationship, an illness, a new life stage. Over more than 25 years, I've worked with individuals, families, and groups across community nonprofits, worksite wellness programs, labor unions, and virtual settings, so I've seen how many different circumstances can bring someone to therapy feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

I'm a practical therapist. I draw on mindfulness-based CBT and DBT, and I use SMART goals to keep our work focused and moving forward rather than circling the same ground. I also lean on Positive Psychology, because I'd rather build on the strengths you already have than treat you as a list of problems to fix. Early on, I'll ask you to walk me through your concerns from past to present so we can organize them and decide together what matters most. From there we build a structured plan with achievable goals, and we adjust as we go, always at a pace that feels manageable to you. Many of the people I see notice gradual relief within the first month, with steady improvement after that.

My aim is to address what's weighing on you with clarity, focus, and compassion, not pressure. Curious whether this kind of structured, forward-moving work would suit you?

I'm a therapist who has spent years working across a range of clinical settings and with people from many different walks of life. That variety shaped how I practice: I've learned that no two people arrive for the same reason, and no single method fits everyone. My approach is client-centered, and I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused work, and strengths-based techniques depending on what actually fits the person in front of me.

A lot of what I do is helping adults, including older adults, work through personal, emotional, and life transitions, the moments when something shifts and the old ways of coping stop holding. I lean on your strengths rather than fixating on what's wrong, and I build each plan around your goals rather than a formula.

Our first session is mostly about getting to know you and understanding what brought you here. I'll ask about your concerns and what you're hoping to gain, and we'll start laying a foundation we can keep building on together. I try to be thoughtful and steady, and I'd rather move at a pace that feels honest than rush toward a fix.

Deciding to start therapy takes something, and if you've gotten this far in reading, you've already done part of the hard part. When you're ready to talk, I'll be glad to sit down with you.

I'm a therapist with a particular focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and the messy in-between of life transitions. Over more than a decade of practice, I've worked with adults, teens, and whole families, often people who feel a little stuck and want something practical to hold onto, not just a place to talk in circles.

My style is warm and solution-focused, and I lean toward partnership. I'm not the kind of therapist who sits back and nods; I'll bring tools, strategies, and honest feedback, and I'll ask you to try things out between our sessions. Expect me to share the occasional worksheet, app, or reading when it fits what you're working on. A session with me tends to move between real conversation and figuring out what you can actually use on Tuesday afternoon when things get hard. I want you to leave with something to work with, not just something to think about.

I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and I try to tailor the work to your background rather than assume one approach fits everyone. My aim is to help you build resilience and make changes that hold up over time, not just for the next few weeks.

There's no rush to any of this. When you feel ready to begin, I'll be here, and we can take it from there.

Most of my work as a therapist is talk therapy, and it draws on training I've built up across both crisis response and outpatient settings. I earned my bachelor's and master's in social work at Fordham, and over the years I've become certified in motivational interviewing and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, completed Gottman Level 1 couples training, and studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Beck Institute. I see adolescents and adults, and I tend to draw on whichever of those approaches actually fits the person in front of me.

I'm a practical, collaborative therapist. Our first session is where I get a thorough understanding of your history, your concerns, and what you actually want to be different, and that becomes the foundation we build on. From there I like to set shared goals with you and shape a plan around your particular needs and strengths, then adjust it as we go. Expect concrete tools and strategies rather than open-ended talking, and expect me to send you off with some 'homework' between visits, because a lot of the real progress happens in the days between appointments, not just in the room.

I'm honest about what's working and what isn't, and I count on you to tell me the same, so we can keep revising the plan together. Bring what's on your mind to a first visit and we'll figure out where to start.

I trained as a therapist, and I mostly work with adults who are ready to talk something through but haven't always felt genuinely listened to when they've tried before. My path here started in education and psychology, and that background still shapes how I think about people, with attention to where someone is developmentally and what growth actually looks like for them, not just what a treatment plan says it should be.

My style is warm and interactive. I'm not the kind of therapist who sits in silence and lets you fill the air; I stay engaged, ask questions, and respond honestly. Early on, my focus is on making sure you feel heard and understood, because in my experience meaningful change tends to start there. From that point we set goals that are yours, and I draw on a few approaches depending on what fits: cognitive-behavioral therapy for patterns you want to shift, psychodynamic work when the roots matter, and problem-solving therapy when you need practical strategies for what's in front of you right now. I'll tailor the mix to you rather than the other way around.

Mostly, I want the work to feel collaborative and steady, with room for the courage it takes to change something in your life.

Deciding to talk to someone takes real effort, and getting this far says something. If you're looking for that kind of working relationship, I'd be glad to start it with you.

As a therapist, I work mostly with adults and older adults who are ready to sort through what life has thrown at them and want practical tools to do it. Over more than 25 years in human services, including close to a decade seeing clients in outpatient therapy, I've sat with people navigating stress, loss, transition, and the weight of experiences they haven't fully unpacked. I've also counseled military families during my time at Fort McCoy, and that work taught me a lot about how people carry pressure quietly.

Here's something I hold onto: you're not broken. You already have the ability to empower yourself; my job is to help you find the right tools and the guidance to use them. I draw on approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, and I'm trauma-informed in how I listen and pace things. Early on, expect me to ask real questions about your history, your concerns, and where you want to go, and to actually take my time with your answers. I care about trust and clear communication, and I want you to feel heard and respected rather than rushed. We'll set goals together and build the skills to meet them, at whatever pace fits you.

Growth doesn't happen on a schedule, so let's start with a real conversation about what's going on and decide together what comes next.

I'm a therapist, and most of what I see spans a wide age range: teens finding their footing, adults sorting through anxiety, depression, trauma, or a life transition that has knocked things off balance, and older adults navigating change later in life. Over more than eight years across private practice, outpatient programs, community mental health centers, and non-profit work in New York and New Jersey, I've spent a lot of time with people who are reexamining their self-esteem, working through relationship strain, or trying to make sense of attention challenges. I also work often with neurodivergent clients and offer affirming care across identities, relationships, and family systems.

How we work together depends on you. I start by really understanding your history, your concerns, your strengths, and what you actually want out of this, then we shape a plan together from there. I draw on approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and IFS, but I try to keep therapy practical and paced to you rather than to a method. Early sessions tend to be a lot of me asking questions and listening closely so I understand what brought you here. As we go, I'll revisit our goals with you so the work stays relevant and responsive as things shift.

I'm a therapist, and I've worked across a wide range of mental health concerns in both inpatient and outpatient settings. That means I've sat with people in some of their most acute moments and also walked alongside them through the slower, less dramatic work of building a life that feels more like their own. I see adults and older adults, and I don't come in assuming I already know what your struggle is about.

I start from a fairly simple conviction: that every person carries a real desire and a real capacity to grow. My job isn't to hand you a fix. It's to partner with you, so that together we can trace where the distress is coming from and find solutions that actually mean something to you. I draw from a broad range of therapeutic approaches rather than forcing everyone into one method, because what helps one person land nowhere for the next.

In a first session, expect me to do a lot of listening and honest asking. I want you to feel heard and respected, not managed. From there we move at a pace that fits you, and I'll be straightforward with you about what I'm noticing along the way.

Reaching out for help takes something, and choosing to read this far is already part of that. When you're ready to start that conversation, I'll be here to begin it with you.

I'm a therapist who focuses on talk therapy with adults, including older adults, who are working through anxiety, depression, grief, and the kind of life transitions that quietly reshape how a person sees themselves. Some of the people I meet are navigating strained relationships; others are managing severe mental illness and want a steady partner in that work. I've spent time in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and earlier in my training I worked in an emergency room and specialty clinics, which taught me to stay calm and present when things feel far from calm.

The way I work is collaborative. Early on, I want to understand what's actually going on and what you're hoping will be different, so we can sketch out a roadmap for growth together rather than my handing you a plan. My first session tends to be conversational: we talk through what brought you in, a bit of your history, and how sessions and confidentiality work, and then we start naming goals. After that, our time centers on exploring your thoughts and feelings, noticing the patterns underneath them, and practicing skills you can use outside the room. I draw on DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused approaches, but I fit the method to the person, not the other way around. We check in on progress along the way.

I see teenagers, adults, and older adults, and I've learned that no two people arrive wanting the same thing, so I don't assume I know what yours is until you tell me.

Here's how I tend to work: I'll ask you to be open and honest with me about your expectations and your values, because that's what actually guides treatment somewhere useful. I draw from a few different modalities, including ARC, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and Solution-Focused approaches, but I hold all of that loosely. If a strategy isn't landing for you, I'd rather understand why and adjust than keep pushing it. Early sessions are mostly us figuring out where you want to go, taking into account your lifestyle, your past experiences with mental health treatment, your symptoms, and what matters to you. I'll offer worksheets and homework if you want them, but they're never a requirement. You're the expert on your own experience; my job is to help you build goals you can actually reach.

What I'm after is tangible improvement in how your daily life feels, not abstract progress. If you want a therapist who will build the plan alongside you and change course when something isn't working, let's talk.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of independent experience across the DMV, and I've practiced in a lot of settings: private practice, nonprofit, medical, federal, and military. That range has shown me that change happens when someone has both a clear direction and steady support to keep going. I see adolescents, adults, and older adults, and I've spent a good deal of time working with individuals, families, and service members.

My approach is collaborative and goal-focused. Early on, we'll look at what you're up against, but also at your strengths and what's motivating you to change, because both matter. From there we build a plan that's realistic, drawing on tools like CBT, solution-focused work, DBT, and narrative therapy depending on what fits you. Sessions tend to be active. I'll offer encouragement and honest accountability, and I'll help you build momentum in the areas that feel stuck. I'm a therapist who focuses on the connection between mind and body, and how movement toward health can happen from both directions at once. Over the course of my career I've worked in hospitals, forensics, community clinics, private practice, and research, including a two-year addictions study for couples I directed at Harvard Medical School. All of that has taught me that people don't fit into tidy categories, and neither should their care.

I see adults across the lifespan, from younger adults sorting through stress and anxiety to older adults navigating change, and I pay close attention to how the body carries what the mind is holding. My training runs through addictions, trauma-sensitive work, couples therapy, self-regulation, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and nutrition for mental health, so I can match what I offer to what you actually need rather than reaching for one method.

The first session is where I get to know your history, your concerns, and what you want to be different. From there we set clear goals and stay in open communication about what's working and what isn't. I value honesty in both directions, and I'd rather adjust course together than pretend a plan is fixed. My aim is progress you can sustain, not a quick fix that fades.

My work as a therapist centers on talk therapy with adults, including older adults, who are looking for more meaning, balance, and some measure of inner peace in their lives. What drew me to this field in the first place was a genuine curiosity about human behavior, why we do what we do, and how we can change it when the old patterns stop serving us.

My approach draws on both behavioral and psychodynamic ideas, which lets me address what's happening in your day-to-day life while also exploring the deeper emotional patterns underneath it. Some sessions are about practical, present-tense problem-solving; others are about understanding where a reaction comes from. I try to bring a thoughtful and motivating presence to that work, and I pay close attention to what makes you different from the next person who walks in.

Early on, I focus on getting to know you and gathering the background that helps me understand your history, alongside building the kind of relationship that actual change tends to grow from. From there, we clarify your needs, values, and goals together, and we adjust those goals as things shift over time. I see the relationship between us as the ground the rest of the work stands on.

The first step is a conversation to sort out what matters to you; we shape the direction from there and keep revisiting it as we go.

All of that shapes how I sit with people now. I see children, teens, and adults, and I'm at ease with folks who've bounced through a few systems and are ready for something that actually sticks.

I'd describe myself as highly structured but pretty comical about it. Therapy with me has a rhythm: each month, we set three short-term goals, look back at what you actually accomplished, and name a few things you're grateful for. That combination keeps us honest and keeps momentum going. In a first session I want to hear why you're here, what kinds of approaches have or haven't worked for you, and how often you'd like to meet. Expect homework and clear follow-up points, drawn from cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and trauma-focused work, depending on what fits you.

I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and my path has taken me from addictions work in high schools, prisons, and residential settings to community programs with adolescents in foster care and adults living with severe mental illness. These days I focus on anxiety, depression, panic, and adjustment concerns, and I do trauma work using EMDR. A good deal of my attention goes to PTSD, self-harm, substance use, and the questions that come with living outside what the world calls typical. I especially connect with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, and with parents and caregivers who are stretched thin.

I tend to spend the first session or two simply getting a clear picture of where you're coming from and where you'd like to go. From there we set goals together, and I'll revisit them with you over time so they stay honest to what you actually want. I try to stay transparent and open-minded, and I care about naming the unhelpful core beliefs and everyday barriers that quietly keep people stuck. A lot of the people I see are wrestling with how they feel about themselves, learning to speak up for what they need, or trying to find steady ground after a loss or a hard chapter. I take a strengths-based view, which means I'm looking for what's already working in your life as much as what's hurting.

I start by getting to know you: your experiences, your strengths, and the challenges that brought you in. I'm a therapist with nearly 25 years of experience treating ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, and the tangle of issues that often come with substance use. Over those years I've worked with children, adolescents, adults, and whole families, and these days much of my focus is on adults, including folks well into their later years who are still figuring out what they want the next chapter to look like.

I like to describe myself as a kind of GPS during the work we do together. When we start, we can't always see the destination clearly, and that's fine. Between the two of us, I'm confident we can get you and your family where you're trying to go. My approach draws on motivational interviewing tailored to you, some mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral techniques, but the truth is the tools matter less than the partnership. I tend to lean on both compassion and a sense of humor, because the therapeutic road is easier to travel with someone who takes the work seriously without taking themselves too seriously.

A session with me is a genuine back-and-forth. I ask questions, I listen closely, and I'm honest with you about what I'm noticing, so we can build a plan that fits your actual life. Teamwork and a willingness to advocate for you are what I bring to the table.

If that sounds like the kind of guide you've been looking for, I'd be happy to talk.

As a therapist, I work mostly with people navigating eating disorders, along with adolescents, adults, and older adults who want a place to think out loud about what's going on. Much of my clinical grounding comes from over four years spent treating eating disorders in a hospital setting, where I learned how much steadier recovery feels when someone actually feels heard rather than managed.

My style tends to be warm, personable, and conversational, closer to talking with a trusted friend than sitting across from a clinician taking notes. I'll validate what you're feeling, but I'm also going to gently encourage the kind of growth and self-discovery that moves things forward. I draw on evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and I'm certified in Level 1 Gottman Method for the relationship work that sometimes comes up.

Our first sessions are mostly about getting the full picture: your background, what's brought you here, and what you actually want out of therapy. From there we build a plan together, one shaped around your specific situation rather than a template, so the work supports change that lasts instead of a quick patch.

If your relationship with food, your body, or the pressure you carry has started running the show, I'd like to help you take some of that weight back. Reach out when you're ready and we'll figure out the next step together.

I'm a licensed mental health counselor, and I've spent more than a decade helping individuals and families work through mood disorders, trauma, difficult life transitions, and the kind of chronic challenges that wear on a person's overall well-being over time. Much of the care I offer centers on the BIPOC community and on women who want a counselor who understands the context they're living in, not just the symptoms they're describing.

My approach is inclusive by design. I want the people I work with to feel like their full experience is welcome in the room, including the parts that don't always get named in therapy. In an early session, I spend a good deal of time simply understanding your story: what brought you here, what you've already tried, and what you actually want your life to look like. From there we shape a direction together, and I'll be honest with you about what I'm noticing along the way. I tend to move at a pace that respects where you are rather than rushing toward a fix.

Some of what people bring is long-standing, and some of it is fresh. Either way, I'm interested in the whole picture of your wellness, not a single diagnosis on a chart.

Reach out when you're ready to start this work together.

Most of my work as a therapist is with adults, including older adults, who are dealing with the daily hassles, life transitions, or chronic and acute health conditions that have started to feel overwhelming. I'm dually licensed as a marriage and family therapist and a genetic counselor, and I've come to care a lot about treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, including the service members and veterans who find their way to me.

My style is warm and interactive, and I draw on an eclectic mix of cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and schema therapy techniques, tailored to what you actually need rather than a fixed formula. Humor and deep insight aren't off limits here; they often sit side by side in the same session. I'm interested in functional therapy, the kind that helps you move forward, and where it's relevant I can gently fold in psychospiritual questions no matter your religious background. I work alongside the rest of your healthcare team and answer your questions directly. I won't live your life or make your decisions for you, but I can offer the anticipatory guidance that shifts your internal dialogue or opens a door where a family has drifted apart.

It takes real courage to reach for a more fulfilling life, and my job is to support and empower that. We'll start with whatever challenge is in front of you and brainstorm the best place to begin. From there, we build the rest together.

I'm a therapist who focuses on anxiety, depression, and the relationship struggles that tend to tangle up everything else. A lot of the adults I see are trying to make sense of what they're feeling and where it's coming from, and I want them to leave a session feeling genuinely heard rather than processed. I see clients from young adulthood through their later years, and I work in both English and Spanish, which matters when someone wants to talk about hard things in the language they think and dream in.

Much of my early training was in inpatient psychiatric units during my internship at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, where I learned crisis management and acute care. That experience taught me to stay steady when things feel overwhelming, and it shaped how I listen now. In a first session, I'm mostly asking questions and getting a real sense of your life, not rushing toward conclusions. I keep things client-centered, which for me means the pace and the priorities are yours to set, and I check in rather than assume.

Outside of work, my time goes to my family and my two dogs, usually hiking or somewhere near the beach. Those quiet moments of connection keep me grounded, and I think that steadiness carries into the room.

Whatever you've been sitting with, bring it to a first visit and we'll start untangling it together.

I'm a therapist who focuses on adults navigating the kind of stress, trauma, and life transitions that don't resolve on their own. Over the last 30 years, I've worked across a wide range of settings: hospital and health systems, emergency rooms and psychiatric screening centers, and school- and community-based outpatient programs. That range taught me how to sit with people in the middle of a crisis and how to walk alongside them through the slower work that comes afterward. Along the way I've supervised social work students and served as a clinical director in community mental health, but what I keep coming back to is the one-on-one work with the person in front of me.

My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that care should fit around your life, not the other way around. I draw on acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness within a wellness-based frame, and I lean on CBT tools where they help. Early sessions tend to be about getting the full picture, your history, what's weighing on you, and what you actually want to be different, so we can decide together where to put our energy. I'll be straightforward with you, and I'll expect us to make those decisions as partners.

If that fits what you're after, reach out and we'll start with a conversation and shape the plan from there.

I've spent years as a therapist treating adults, adolescents, and older adults who are trying to get some steadiness back in how they handle their emotions. Many of the people I see feel like their reactions are running ahead of them, and they want practical skills to slow that down and respond with more confidence. My work is grounded in trauma-informed principles, which for me is less a slogan than a way of pacing things: I don't push people past what they're ready to look at, and I pay attention to what makes someone feel safe enough to keep going.

My training runs through CBT, DBT, and Trauma-Focused CBT, so a lot of what we do is concrete. You can expect us to name what's actually happening in a hard moment and then build out real tools for it, especially around emotion regulation. I also lean on mindfulness to help people notice and accept what's going on internally before deciding what to do about it. Early sessions tend to be a mix of me getting the full picture and us mapping out where you want to head. I'll be honest with you about what I'm seeing, and I'll ask you to be honest back, because the plan only works if it's genuinely yours.

Before I came to this work, I spent six years at home raising my kids, which still shapes how I listen. The first step is a straightforward conversation, and we'll sort out the direction together from there.

I trained as a clinical social worker, and I mostly work with adults who are trying to find their footing through big life transitions, an existential crisis, or the kind of stress that quietly wears a person down. Over thirteen years as a psychotherapist, in outpatient settings and through telehealth, I've spent a lot of time alongside people navigating anxiety, mood concerns, ADHD, and addictions of different kinds, whether chemical, behavioral, or process. Often the work comes back to something practical: rebuilding self-esteem, setting healthy boundaries, learning to communicate assertively and actually listen.

My approach is client centered, which means I follow your goals at your pace rather than pushing my own timeline onto you. I draw on Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy, but I choose the tool that fits the person in front of me, not the other way around. In a first session, expect a real conversation: I'll ask what brought you here and what you want to be different, and I'll listen without rushing to fix. I try to keep things open and honest, so thoughts and feelings can be shared without worrying about judgment.

I'll be straight with you: I genuinely like this work, and I like working with people who want to be here. Deciding to start is often the hardest part, and if you've gotten this far, you've already done something that matters. When you're ready, reach out and let's talk.

Most of my work as a therapist spans a wide age range, from kids as young as five to teenagers, adults, and older adults well into their later years. I've spent more than fifteen years in community and outpatient settings, which taught me that no two people walk in with the same story, so I don't treat them as if they do. Some of the folks I see are figuring out a hard season for the first time; others have been managing something for years and want a fresh set of eyes.

I draw on a range of approaches rather than forcing everyone into one method, because what helps a nine-year-old is rarely what helps someone in their seventies. The first time we meet, I'm mostly getting to know you: your history, what's bringing you in, what you're hoping for, and the strengths you already have that we can build on. From there we shape a plan together, one aimed at both some relief now and steadier ground over the long run. I try to keep things straightforward and grounded in your culture and life, so you actually feel understood rather than processed.

My training in social work at Adelphi University shaped how I look at people in the context of everything around them, not in isolation. Reach out when you're ready to start, and we'll figure out the first steps together.

I'm a therapist specializing in the kind of work that starts with attachment, self-worth, and the patterns in our closest relationships. A lot of what I do centers on people wrestling with trauma, ADHD, boundary issues, gender identity, depression, and anxiety, often folks who've carried it quietly for a long time. I'm an LGBTQIA+ affirming, gender-affirming, BIPOC therapist, and I've worked with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, populations, and identities, including many who've lived through different kinds of trauma.

My training runs through DBT, CPT, CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and psychodynamic and solution-focused work, and I'm certified in dialectical behavioral therapy and trauma-focused CBT. But the approach matters less than the fit. I tend to be conversational and direct, non-judgmental about whatever you bring into the room. I'll tell you honestly what I'm seeing, and I'll ask you to do the same. Sessions with me feel less like an interview and more like a real back-and-forth, where we name what's actually going on and figure out where to put your energy.

I've practiced across outpatient mental health, non-profits, private practice, and with the military, so I've sat with people in a lot of different seasons of life. Whatever's been sitting on your mind lately, bring it to a first visit and we'll start sorting through it together.

Most of my work as a therapist, over 13 years of it now, is with adults who are ready to turn some attention back toward themselves after long stretches of putting everyone and everything else first. I came into this field through international human rights and educational work, and later spent years alongside formerly homeless adults in supportive housing, first as a social worker and eventually as a supervisor and assistant program director. That history shaped how I listen. I think of therapy as a real act of self-investment, a chance to approach yourself with curiosity, courage, and compassion rather than judgment.

My approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in evidence. Depending on what you need, I draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness, DBT skills, psychodynamic work, and cognitive-behavioral techniques, but I lead with the relationship, not the technique. Early sessions tend to move at a human pace: I ask questions, I stay curious, and I pay attention to what actually matters to you underneath the presenting concern. Over time, the work is about building emotional flexibility and resilience, getting clearer on your values, and taking steps that line up with them. I aim for a space that feels warm, validating, and culturally responsive, where you feel genuinely seen.

Curious whether the two of us would work well together? A first visit is a good place to find out.

I'm a licensed mental health counselor with a particular focus on talk therapy for adults, and I've been doing this work for about eight years. I'll tell you something about how I got here: I went through graduate school at night while raising two amazing kids. I share that not for sympathy but because I want you to know you're never too old to chase something you want. That belief sits underneath everything I do.

I'm solution-focused, but I don't lean on any single method. There isn't a one size fits all way to help people, so I pay attention to what actually works for you and adjust from there. If one tool isn't the right fit, we look for others, and I don't give up partway through. That means our early sessions involve a fair amount of trying things, checking in on what's landing, and being honest with each other about what needs to change.

What I want you to walk away with is real: practical tools and coping strategies you can use, and a clear sense of the steps ahead on your own path. I bring both clinical training and plenty of real-world experience to that, and my commitment to you doesn't waver once we start.

If that's the kind of support you've been looking for, send me a message when you're ready to begin.

I'm a therapist who has spent years treating adolescents, adults, and older adults through talk therapy, and I've been licensed in Arizona since 2004. Over that time I've worked with children, couples, and families across a range of treatment settings, which has taught me that no two people arrive needing the same thing. I like sitting with the person who isn't quite sure where to start, who wants to feel heard before anything else happens.

Much of what I do rests on the relationship we build. I value open, honest communication, and I'll actively ask for your feedback as we go, because I want to know when something is working and when it isn't. My approach is client-centered and flexible, so I pay attention to where you are emotionally and mentally rather than pushing a fixed agenda. In a first session, expect me to listen more than I talk, ask questions about what brought you in, and start naming the goals that actually matter to you. From there we shape a plan that fits your needs, your energy, and how ready you feel to make changes.

I don't rush the process. Steady progress and mutual trust matter more to me than fast answers, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside someone through the work of healing and growth. If that fits what you're looking for, I'd be happy to talk.

As a therapist, I work mostly with adults navigating stress and anxiety, relationship strain, family conflict, anger, depression, and the aftermath of trauma. Over more than 20 years in this field, I've sat with individuals and couples from every kind of background, and I've learned that the person in front of me is never reducible to a diagnosis. A lot of what I hear about doesn't fit neatly into a category: infidelity and jealousy, the fog of a midlife crisis, codependency, the strain of divorce or separation, questions about life purpose, or the specific weight men often carry without a place to set it down.

My work is person-centered, which for me is less a method than a starting point. I want the therapeutic relationship to come first, and I build the treatment around you rather than around a template. Depending on what you're dealing with, that might draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, or solution-focused work, but early on my aim is simpler: to understand what you're up against and what feeling whole would actually look like for you. Expect an early session to move at a conversational pace, with me listening more than steering.

I have a real interest in young adults sorting through co-occurring challenges, and I've spent time working with complex trauma and substance use as well.

My approach is integrative and client-centered, and it's grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a model I lean on because it adapts to whatever a person is actually facing rather than forcing them into a single framework. Depending on what fits, I draw on mindfulness, dialectical and acceptance-based work, psychoeducation, and trauma-informed care. I'm a therapist, and after more than 23 years in the mental health field, I've sat with people through most of what life throws at us: anxiety, depression, the weight of past trauma, and the particular kind of overwhelm that comes with pregnancy, new motherhood, and the postpartum stretch that no one quite prepares you for. If you've been reacting to things more strongly than you'd like and you don't fully understand why, that's often where my work starts.

I'll be honest, I bring warmth and a fair amount of enthusiasm into the room, and I'll expect you to be an active participant rather than a passenger. My aim isn't for you to leave a session with something vague to think about. You'll leave with a plan of action, detailed steps, and skills that are actually easy to apply the next day, whether that's managing stress, healing from something that hurt you, communicating more clearly, or holding firmer boundaries in your relationships. Along the way, we'll work on understanding how and why certain emotions surface and what's driving those reactions, because naming that usually loosens its grip.

I trained in Georgia, undergrad in Albany and graduate school in Valdosta, and much of my approach centers on restorative self-care and building real emotional awareness over time.

I trained as a licensed clinical social worker, and I mostly work with adults navigating substance abuse and mental health concerns, often at the same time. Over the years I've spent a lot of time with men and with clients from minority backgrounds, and my work also draws on real experience with addiction, trauma, first responders, and the relationships that get strained when someone is struggling. My greatest passion is helping people make lasting change, not just get through this week.

I take an active approach. That means I'll ask the tough questions, though I try to do it respectfully, and I'll use humor and plain conversation when the moment calls for it. Therapy, to me, starts with building trust and a genuine relationship; without that, the rest doesn't hold. So a first session is really about getting to know each other and figuring out what you actually want to change. From there I pull from the models that fit the person in front of me, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, rather than forcing everyone into the same method.

I believe therapy can be genuinely transformative when it's built on human connection and a real commitment to doing the work. My job is to help you handle what's in front of you today and build some resilience for whatever comes next. Reach out when you're ready to start that work together.

Most recently I worked at a community-based mental health clinic, where I saw people of all ages arriving with all sorts of goals, and across eighteen years in human service and nonprofit work I've also spent time with a Mobile Crisis team and at an organization in Syracuse supporting people with sensory loss as they built or held onto their independence. I like that range, and I try to stay attentive to the things that shape a person's identity: culture, ethnicity, disability, neurodivergence, and being part of the LGBTQ+ community.

My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, which mostly means I don't come in with a fixed script. I'll draw on CBT, DBT, IFS, or mindfulness-based work depending on what actually fits you, and I'd rather adjust the model to the person than the other way around. Early sessions are largely about getting a real picture of what's going on and figuring out, together, where your own strengths already are. I've worked in both mental health and substance use settings since 2016, with a range of people at very different points in their lives, from younger adults sorting out who they want to be to older adults reckoning with change and loss. Whatever brings you in, I want to understand the full picture, not just the symptom on the surface.

My approach is eclectic and trauma-focused. I draw on Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I fold in somatic work because I think the mind and body are having a conversation whether we listen or not. Early on, expect me to ask questions and actually sit with your answers rather than rushing toward a fix. I treat our work as genuinely collaborative, which to me means naming the barriers standing between you and your own well-being, then figuring out how to move through them together. I'll be direct with you, and I'll expect us to set the pace as we go.

Curious whether this is the right kind of support for what you're facing right now? That's exactly the conversation a first visit is for.
