Biography
I'm a therapist who focuses on talk therapy for adolescents and adults, and I've spent more than 14 years doing this work across outpatient clinics, schools, and, for the last six-plus years, over telehealth. I earned my Master of Social Work from East Carolina University after my Bachelor of Social Work at Elizabeth City State University, and that range of settings has taught me to work with people at very different points in their lives.
I treat therapy as a partnership built on accountability and steady progress. I tend to think of myself as a guide rather than someone with all the answers, and I lean on evidence-based practices, skill-building, psychoeducation, and practical strategies you can actually use. I'll often send you off with something to work on between sessions, because the growth that lasts usually happens outside the room. You're in the driver's seat here. I ask for open communication and honest feedback, and if something in our approach isn't working, I want to hear it so we can adjust. Expect me to check in on your goals and to ask you to come to our time together with some intention about what you want out of it.
What matters most to me is that the progress we make is meaningful and sustainable, not just a good session that fades by Tuesday. Reach out when you're ready to get to work.
