Biography
As a therapist specializing in addictions, I work mostly with adults who are wrestling with substance use, and often with the anxiety, depression, or major life changes that tend to travel alongside it. Some of the people I see have been struggling for years; others are in the middle of a transition that has knocked them off balance and left them looking for steadier ground. Wherever you're starting from, I want to understand your story before we talk about changing any part of it.
I tend to be warm and direct in equal measure. I care a lot about trust and about not passing judgment, because I've found that people open up when they feel genuinely heard rather than assessed. Early on, I'll ask about your history, your goals, and what's actually worrying you, and we'll go at a pace that feels comfortable to you instead of one I've decided in advance. From there we build practical strategies together, drawing on evidence-based approaches, and we adjust them as your life shifts. My aim is steady, honest progress, not a quick fix.
I'm licensed to provide remote care, which means we can do this work from wherever you feel most at ease.
Deciding to look for a counselor takes real effort, and getting this far says something about your readiness. When you're ready to start, I'll be here to begin the conversation with you.
