Biography
I'm a therapist, and much of my work centers on talk therapy with adults and older adults, including people well into their later years who are navigating change, loss, or questions they haven't had space to sort through out loud. I've practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings, so I've sat with people across a wide span of needs and levels of care, from acute moments to steadier, ongoing work.
I put a lot of weight on open communication. I'd rather we talk plainly about what's working and what isn't than keep things polite and vague. We usually start with a thorough look at your background, your concerns, and what you're actually hoping to get out of this, and from there we set goals that are realistic rather than aspirational. I take a strengths-based approach, which means I'm paying attention to what you already do well and building from it, not just cataloging what's wrong.
Sessions tend to be practical and flexible. We work on coping skills, on building insight into patterns you may not have named yet, and we check in honestly on progress so you can feel where things are moving. I want the room to feel like a place where you can say the hard thing without bracing for judgment.
If that fits what you're after, get in touch and we'll take it from there.
