Biography

My work as a therapist centers on adults, from those just starting out to older patients navigating later life, who are dealing with anxiety, depression, and often more than one thing at once. Over the past five-plus years, I've worked across outpatient, inpatient, and substance use settings, which taught me that co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns rarely sort themselves into neat categories. I treat them together, not as separate problems.

I'm practical and goal-oriented. I like to start by understanding your history and what you actually want to change, then we define goals that mean something to you rather than ones that just look good on a treatment plan. My approach draws on CBT, solution-focused therapy, and DBT-informed skills, but the through-line is skills you can use between sessions, not just talk in the room. Early on, a session with me looks like naming the patterns that keep repeating, then building concrete coping strategies to interrupt them. I value consistency and accountability, and I track progress openly so we both know whether what we're doing is working. If it isn't, we adjust.

I'll be straightforward with you, and I expect us to do the work as a team, coordinating with the rest of your care when that helps.

Bring what's been getting in your way to a first visit, and we'll map out where to start together.

I'm a therapist who focuses on talk therapy for adults, from people in the thick of their working years to older adults navigating the changes that come with age. I've been licensed across multiple states for more than a decade, with a Master's in Social Work and time spent in both outpatient and inpatient settings. That range has taught me that no two people arrive for the same reason, so I don't come in with a fixed script.

I'm trained in evidence-based models like CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, along with other brief approaches, and I draw on whichever one actually fits the person in front of me. What matters most early on is trust. I want you to feel heard and respected enough to say the things that are hard to say out loud. Early sessions are mostly about understanding where you are right now and what you'd like to be different.

I value transparency, and I'll be honest with you about what I'm thinking. I also think you should have an active hand in your own care, so we'll set goals together that are specific and realistic, the kind you can actually track rather than vague intentions. You won't be a passenger in this.

Curious whether this way of working would suit you? That's exactly what a first visit is for.

I'm a therapist, and I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across a wide range of backgrounds. My training is in Couple and Marriage and Family Therapy, and much of what I do is systemic and relational, which just means I pay attention to the people and patterns around you, not only what's happening inside you. Over the years I've practiced in outpatient community mental health, K-12 school settings, substance use treatment, and private practice, so I've sat with a lot of different kinds of struggles.

I think of therapy as a partnership. We work together to make sense of what you're going through, what feels hard right now, and what you'd genuinely like to change. My approach is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, and I try to honor your identity, background, and lived experience without asking you to perform or explain yourself in ways that feel like pressure. In a first session, I mostly want to understand what's happening for you and what you're hoping for, and from there we build a realistic plan around your priorities.

As we go, I'll help you notice patterns, put some coping tools to use, and adjust the work when something isn't fitting. I'd rather revise the plan than pretend it's working.

Curious whether the two of us would be a good match? That's exactly what a first conversation is for.

I'm a therapist specializing in mood concerns, trauma, substance use, and the interpersonal struggles that tend to surface alongside them. Over the years I've worked across a range of settings, from day treatment and in-home programs to intensive outpatient and ASAM-based substance use care, with adolescents, adults, and older adults. That range has taught me that no two people arrive for the same reason, even when the diagnosis on paper looks similar.

What I care about most is balance: emotional safety on one side, and honest accountability on the other. I want you to feel supported, and I also want us to keep an eye on real growth. We'll start with a thorough look at your history, your concerns, your strengths, and where you'd like to end up, and from there we'll shape goals that actually mean something to you. Sessions with me have a structure to them; we check in on what's working, adjust when it isn't, and keep the pace steady rather than rushed.

I lean on practical, evidence-based methods, including CBT and DBT-informed skills, with a focus on emotional regulation and the kind of stability that holds up over time. My hope is that you leave sessions with tools you can actually use, not just insight.

If that approach fits what you've been looking for, I'd be happy to talk.

Most of my work as a therapist, over the last fifteen years, has been with adolescents and adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and the tangle of relationships and co-occurring struggles that rarely come one at a time. I've also spent a lot of time alongside parents raising kids on the Autism Spectrum, which asks its own kind of patience and reworking of expectations. I've practiced across telehealth, community mental health, and integrated care, so I've seen how differently support has to fit depending on where someone is in their life.

I'll start by getting to know your story: what's hard right now, sure, but also what you're good at and where you actually want to be headed. From there we build a plan that lines up with what matters to you, not a generic checklist. My style is both supportive and active. I want you to feel better, and I also want you to walk away with practical tools you can use on a Tuesday afternoon. Depending on the day, a session might involve skill-building, working through emotions, some mindfulness, or slower insight work, and I lean on Motivational Interviewing when change needs to come from you rather than from me pushing. We check on progress as we go and adjust when something isn't landing.

I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I offer flexible telehealth so care stays consistent. The first step is just a conversation, and we'll sort out the direction together from there.

I'm a therapist, and much of my work centers on talk therapy with adults and older adults, including people well into their later years who are navigating change, loss, or questions they haven't had space to sort through out loud. I've practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings, so I've sat with people across a wide span of needs and levels of care, from acute moments to steadier, ongoing work.

I put a lot of weight on open communication. I'd rather we talk plainly about what's working and what isn't than keep things polite and vague. We usually start with a thorough look at your background, your concerns, and what you're actually hoping to get out of this, and from there we set goals that are realistic rather than aspirational. I take a strengths-based approach, which means I'm paying attention to what you already do well and building from it, not just cataloging what's wrong.

Sessions tend to be practical and flexible. We work on coping skills, on building insight into patterns you may not have named yet, and we check in honestly on progress so you can feel where things are moving. I want the room to feel like a place where you can say the hard thing without bracing for judgment.

If that fits what you're after, get in touch and we'll take it from there.

I'm a therapist specializing in talk therapy for adults, and much of what I do is help people move forward rather than just vent about what's weighing on them. If you've been circling the same feelings for a while and want to actually get somewhere with them, that's the kind of work I do well. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, trained in EMDR, and I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification, so I'm comfortable sitting with both the present stress in front of you and the deeper patterns underneath it.

I think of therapy as a partnership, not something being done to you. That means I'll offer emotional support, but I'll also gently challenge you when I think it will help you grow. We start with a thorough intake so I understand your history, what's going on now, and what you actually want to change, and from there I build a flexible plan shaped around you rather than a formula. Early sessions tend to be more about getting the full picture than fixing anything on the spot, and you don't need to arrive with everything figured out.

I blend insight-oriented therapy with EMDR when it fits, and I adjust the pace to what feels workable for you. I'm licensed in California, Kentucky, and Indiana. When you're ready to start, get in touch and we'll take it from there.

I've spent years as a therapist treating adults through the kind of stress, health concerns, trauma, and life transitions that quietly reshape how a person gets through an ordinary day. Before I moved into therapy in 2016, I worked in case management and medical social work, sitting with individuals and families as they navigated complicated life and health challenges. That background still shapes how I listen: I pay attention to real life, not just a diagnosis on a chart. I see many adults, including older adults, who are managing more than one thing at once and want practical support rather than abstractions.

I start by learning your story, your strengths, and what you're actually hoping to change. Early on, my focus is helping you feel grounded and genuinely heard, because not much useful happens before that. From there we build a plan together, drawing on trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. As a certified yoga teacher trained in trauma-informed practice, I keep a mind and body perspective in view, and I check in often to make sure the work still fits your goals. My style is practical, compassionate, and approachable, and I set the pace to match you. I offer sessions in English and Spanish.

I'm a therapist who has spent about ten years working with kids, teens, and young adults, mostly ages 6 through 25, in schools and residential settings. A lot of that time has been with young people wrestling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and body image, along with those adjusting to hard transitions or working through trauma. I earned both my Bachelor's in Psychology and my Master's in Counseling from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and I've stayed close to that same age range ever since.

Trust is where the real work starts for me, so the first session is mostly about getting to know your background, what you need, and where you want to go. I want to make sure we're a good fit before we go anywhere else. After that, you set the pace. I follow your lead as we explore what's on your mind, offering validation, some honest insight, and support so you can make decisions that actually line up with your values. My approach pulls from CBT, DBT, person-centered and solution-focused work, and I often bring in creative tools like music and art, because sometimes healing needs more than words.

If you're a young person, or a parent looking for someone for your child, the first step is simply a conversation. We'll figure out the rest together, one session at a time.

Open communication matters to me, and I work closely with you to set goals that are clear and actually reachable, not aspirational for their own sake. I want you to feel heard and respected, and I want you to be an active participant rather than someone I'm doing things to. I'm a therapist who has spent years treating anxiety, depression, grief, and the emotional weight that comes with stress, advanced illness, and end-of-life care. My early training centered on children and adolescents with behavioral disorders, and I often brought families into the work, so I'm comfortable moving between individual, group, and family counseling. These days I see adolescents, adults, and older adults, including people who are navigating a serious diagnosis or grieving someone they've lost and aren't sure how to keep going.

How I work is fairly straightforward. I start by listening to your story with curiosity and without rushing to conclusions, and as trust builds, we shape a plan that's personalized and realistic, not a wish list you'll never keep. In an early session, expect me to ask questions, follow your lead, and be honest with you; transparency and open communication matter to me, and I'd rather name something directly than talk around it. My leanings are eclectic, strength-based, and mindfulness-informed, so the work tends to focus on building self-awareness, steadying your emotional regulation, and developing skills you can actually use.

What I care about most is that you feel understood and supported while you work toward a life that feels more purposeful and genuinely yours. Curious whether the two of us would be a good fit to figure that out together?

My work as a therapist centers on adults and older adults living with depression, anxiety, and the kind of stress that builds up when life gets heavy. Over more than twenty years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, much of it in medical social work and hospice care, I've sat with people facing serious health concerns, the loss of someone they love, and the quiet exhaustion of caring for a family member who can no longer care for themselves. Those experiences shape how I listen. Grief, illness, and caregiving aren't problems to be fixed; they're circumstances to be understood.

I'd describe my approach as warm and steady, without judgment about whatever you bring in. Early on, I want to understand the full picture: what's troubling you now, your history, the people and supports around you, and what actually matters to you. I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and solution-focused work, but I adjust to how you think and what you're comfortable with rather than running everyone through the same method. The goals we set are yours, built around your strengths and priorities so the progress we make can hold up over time.

I'm a therapist, and most of what I see is adults trying to stay afloat in a world that never stops pinging at them: ADHD that makes focus feel like a moving target, anxiety that hums under everything, and the particular flavor of burnout that comes from being always reachable and never quite caught up. I started practicing in 2011, and I've worked across private practice, residential, county, and school settings, both as a therapist and a supervisor, which has taught me that no two people arrive at the same fork in the road for the same reasons.

I practice from a feminist, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent-affirming lens, and I lean toward collaboration over prescription. Early on, I want to understand your strengths as much as your struggles, past and present, and then figure out with you what a more balanced life would actually look like. In practice, that means we'll pull from mind-body, cognitive-behavioral, and attachment-based approaches depending on what fits you, and we'll build routines and skills that hold up outside the room. When it helps, I'll coordinate with your psychiatrist so the plan stays coherent rather than scattered.

My pace is steady and my questions are direct, but the shape of the work is always yours to steer. If the constant noise of modern life has left you frayed and looking for something more grounded, let's talk about where to start.

I'm a therapist with 25 years of experience as a social worker, 12 of them as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Over the years I've worked in private practice, inpatient and home hospice, substance use treatment centers, and hospital settings, which means I've sat with people at nearly every stage of life and every kind of hard moment. I see adolescents, adults, and older adults, and I'm licensed in Texas, Mississippi, and California.

What matters most to me is open communication and building a real, trusting connection. I want the people I work with to feel safe enough to say what's actually going on, without smoothing it over first. I start our work with a comprehensive psychosocial assessment, less an interview than a conversation about your history, your circumstances, and what brought you here. From there, we set treatment goals together that fit your life rather than a formula, and we adjust them as things shift over time.

I tend to move at whatever pace feels workable for you. Some people want to dig in quickly; others need a while to feel settled before they open up, and both are fine with me. Change tends to happen through steady, honest conversation, not pressure.

There's no rush to figure all of this out at once. Whenever the time feels right to begin, I'll be here to start that work with you.

I've spent years as a therapist treating trauma, anxiety, depression, and the aftermath of domestic abuse, in telehealth, hospital, and community settings. I have a particular commitment to military members, veterans, and their families, who often carry experiences that are hard to put into words with someone who hasn't sat with them before. I see adolescents, adults, and older adults, and I'm comfortable across the range of ages and life stages that walk through my door.

My approach is collaborative and pretty down to earth. I lean on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with mindfulness and trauma-informed techniques, less to fill your head with theory and more to give you practical tools you can actually use between sessions. Starting therapy can feel like a lot, so I don't rush it. Early on, my focus is on building a genuine connection and finding a pace that feels manageable to you. In a session, expect me to be direct but warm: we'll look honestly at your thoughts and emotions, and I'll ask questions that help both of us understand what's really going on underneath the stress, the transition, or the long-standing pattern you've been fighting.

What I care about is meaningful change that lasts, not a quick patch. If any of that resonates, reach out and we'll start with a conversation. From there, we'll figure out what real, personalized care looks like for you.

Most of my work as a therapist is with adults, including older adults, who are working through substance use and other mental health concerns in an outpatient setting. Earlier in my career I spent a lot of time supporting children and adolescents with behavioral modification, and that work shaped the practical, skills-focused way I approach things now.

My approach is client-driven, which means I follow your lead rather than hand you a script. I offer a supportive listening ear, and I try to be honest and compassionate at the same time, because I think people can tell when you're only being one or the other. I lean on CBT and solution-focused strategies, and I use psychoeducation to help build insight into what's actually going on. I'm also trained in EMDR, and I can incorporate Christian counseling for clients who want their faith to be part of the work.

A first visit usually starts with what brought you in and a little history on what you're dealing with. From there we set goals together, and I often send you off with some practical homework so the coping skills we talk about get a chance to show up in your everyday life. I have an appreciation for kindness and simple joy, and I try to bring a bit of that to the room.

Curious whether the two of us would work well together? That's exactly what a first appointment is for.

I'm a therapist who has spent years working across outpatient and in-home family settings, and much of that work has moved to telehealth. I see adults and older adults who are contending with trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, grief, the emotional weight of chronic illness, or family conflict that has worn down the people involved. Before this, I taught social work, and that instinct toward mentorship and growth still shapes how I sit with people: I want you to leave with something you can actually use.

My style is compassionate but direct. I'll support you, and I'll also offer a gentle challenge when I think it will move things forward. I start by understanding your story, your strengths, and what you're hoping to change, then we build a treatment plan around your goals rather than a generic one. Sessions tend to have a rhythm: we check in, work on a concrete skill, and look at how things have actually gone since we last spoke. I draw on CBT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, always through a strengths-based, culturally aware lens, and I adjust the goals as your life shifts.

What matters most to me is open, honest communication, so you feel understood rather than managed. If you're ready to work on something and want a partner who will be both steady and straight with you, the first step is simply a conversation, and we'll figure out the path together from there.

Most of my work as a therapist is with individuals and couples working through anxiety, depression, grief, and the kind of stress that builds up from work and family life. A lot of what I see comes down to transitions, the moments when someone's usual footing shifts and they're trying to find a new one. I also work with adolescents and older adults, so the range of stories I hear is wide, and I like that.

My style is collaborative and goal-oriented. I do a fair amount of compassionate listening, but I'm also practical, and I care about giving you something you can actually use once you leave the room. In a first session, I want to hear your story, what's weighing on you right now, and what you're hoping therapy can change. From there we shape a plan that fits you, which might mean skill-building, noticing patterns you hadn't named before, and coping strategies you can try between our conversations. I check in regularly on how things are going and adjust as your needs shift, because therapy shouldn't stay frozen while your life keeps moving.

What matters to me is that the work stays connected to your own values and strengths, not some generic idea of progress.

Deciding to start is often the hardest part. If you've gotten this far in reading, you've already begun turning toward something, and I'd be glad to help you take the next step.

I trained as a therapist, and I mostly work with adults and older adults who want a space to be themselves without smoothing over the hard parts. Over the years I've worked with veterans, adolescents, older folks, and the LGBTQIA+ community, and what carries across all of them is a simple thing: people want to feel seen, heard, and supported. That's where I start.

My sessions are relaxed. There's room for real conversation, and honestly, there's room for laughter too. I don't think therapy has to be solemn to be serious. I lean on approaches like CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, and I keep the work trauma-informed and culturally aware, so we're not pretending your context doesn't matter. First, I want to hear your story. Then we figure out together what actually matters to you and what you'd like to be different.

I'll offer support, and I'll also gently push where I think growth is waiting. I bring practical tools you can use in daily life, and I check in on how things are landing so we can adjust as we go. My hope is that you walk out feeling more confident, more resilient, and more able to handle things on your own.

Curious whether the two of us would click? That's exactly what a first visit is for.

I'm a therapist, and most of what I see is adults working through stress, life transitions, and the tangles that show up in their relationships. My path here has been a wide one. I spent six years in elementary schools supporting kids and families through social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, and during graduate school I worked closely with the LGBTQIA+ community, which shaped how I think about affirming, inclusive care. For the last couple of years, I've focused on telehealth therapy with adults. Moving between all those age groups taught me to stay collaborative and compassionate rather than rigid about how therapy should look.

Authenticity matters to me in the room. I think connection is a real part of the healing process, not a nicety, so I want you to feel like you can actually be yourself with me. When it fits, I'll bring in a little humor to keep things grounded. Early on, I mostly make room for you to tell me your story, what's weighing on you now, and what you're hoping to get out of this. From there we name goals together and build a plan that reflects your priorities, not mine. We revisit those goals as we go and adjust when something isn't working.

If that approach fits what you've been looking for, reach out and we'll get started.

Most of my work as a therapist, over more than a decade in private practice and clinical settings, is with individuals, couples, and families sorting through mood and anxiety struggles, relationship strain, questions of identity, and the transitions that quietly reshape a life. I see teens as well as adults, and I care about culture and context, so I want to understand the world you actually move through, not just the symptoms you can name.

I lean on evidence-based and integrative work, drawing from CBT, DBT-informed skills, trauma-informed care, and family systems thinking, and I adjust the approach to fit the person in front of me rather than the other way around. My style balances empathy with gentle directness; I'll reflect back what I'm hearing, but I'll also name patterns when I notice them. Our first session is a fairly thorough one, where I ask about your background, your concerns, and what you're hoping will be different, so we can shape a plan together. From there, sessions tend to move between building insight, recognizing patterns, and practicing concrete coping and solution-focused strategies you can try between visits. I revisit the plan as we go, because change that lasts usually needs a few course corrections along the way.

My aim is to help you find clarity, steadier confidence, and healthier patterns that connect you back to your own values. Reach out when you're ready to start that work.

As a therapist, I work mostly with adults navigating the moments when things feel overwhelming or uncertain, whether that's anxiety, depression, the aftermath of trauma, ongoing stress, or a major life transition that has knocked things off balance. Over more than 15 years, I've practiced in hospitals, crisis services, correctional mental health programs, and community treatment centers, and I spent time in leadership and clinical roles within the VA healthcare system, where I supervised social workers and helped strengthen mental health and suicide prevention services. That range taught me how many different shapes distress can take, and how differently people arrive at the decision to ask for help.

I know reaching out can be hard, so I try to keep therapy collaborative and genuine rather than overly clinical or intimidating. Early sessions are less about assessment for its own sake and more about getting an honest picture of what you're dealing with, without you having to package it neatly first. From there, we work together to explore what's going on, build some insight into it, and put together practical coping strategies you can actually use in daily life. My aim is a working relationship steady enough that you can be honest about your experiences, including the parts that are hard to say out loud.

If that fits what you're looking for, I'd be happy to talk.

I'm a marriage and family therapist, and I work across the full range of what brings people to therapy: anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADHD, and moments of crisis when things feel like too much to hold on your own. I see individuals, couples, families, and children as young as five, and I've practiced in both outpatient and inpatient behavioral health settings, in person and over telehealth.

I grew up in Hawaii's diverse community, and that upbringing shaped how I sit with people. I pay attention to culture and background because those things matter to how someone understands their own life, and I try to honor each person's perspective rather than assume I already know it. My work rests on empathy, trust, and no judgment.

Early on, I want to understand your history, your concerns, and what you're actually hoping to change, along with the family, work, and relationship dynamics that surround all of it. From there we build a plan that fits you specifically, and I stay in consistent contact as we go, so you're never guessing where things stand. Expect me to be attentive, steady, and honest with you.

Whether you're an adult sorting through something long-standing or a parent looking for help for a child, there's no rush to have it all figured out first. Reach out when the timing feels right for you, and we'll begin from there.

I trained as a therapist, and I mostly work with young professionals in the early stages of their careers, the ones feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about what comes next. Over 12 years I've supported individuals, couples, and families through stress, anxiety, family conflict, eating disorders, and anger management, and I spent 15 years as a high school counselor, which gave me a real ease working with teenagers too. I've also spent more than five years in Intensive Outpatient programs, leading group, family, and individual sessions.

I take my time building rapport before anything else. Our first session is mostly me introducing myself and getting a clear sense of what you actually want to change, so we can agree on a path forward rather than me handing you one. I lean toward practical skills and strategies over abstract talk. A lot of my work draws on Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a structured approach to managing intense emotions, steadying relationships, and building a life that feels more like yours. That means real practice in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and getting your needs met with the people around you. I try to keep the structure without losing the warmth, so you have room to try new things and see what sticks.

Asking for help takes some nerve, and I don't take that lightly. Bring me the parts of your life that feel stuck, and we'll work through them together.

Most of my work as a therapist is with adults and couples, though I also enjoy sitting with children and teens when they need someone in their corner. Over more than fifteen years in community mental health, I've supported people through anxiety, depression, eating disorders, stress at work or school, friction with peers, and questions around sexuality. As a first-generation Latina, I know something about navigating a bicultural identity and the weight that gets passed down through generations, and I bring that understanding into the room.

I think of my clients as the experts on their own lives, and my job is to partner with you toward some balance and clarity. I'm firm but friendly, honest, and pretty down-to-earth, and I'll bring humor in when it fits. I adapt how I talk to match what actually works for you. Early on, I focus on connection: understanding what led you to put your mental health first, building trust, and figuring out goals that are meaningful and genuinely reachable. From the first session, I want you to feel heard and seen. I'll give you respectful, honest feedback and I like to celebrate the progress and wins along the way, because I see therapy as a journey we take together, not a race.

I'm a therapist, and I've worked across a wide range of mental health concerns in both inpatient and outpatient settings. That means I've sat with people in some of their most acute moments and also walked alongside them through the slower, less dramatic work of building a life that feels more like their own. I see adults and older adults, and I don't come in assuming I already know what your struggle is about.

I start from a fairly simple conviction: that every person carries a real desire and a real capacity to grow. My job isn't to hand you a fix. It's to partner with you, so that together we can trace where the distress is coming from and find solutions that actually mean something to you. I draw from a broad range of therapeutic approaches rather than forcing everyone into one method, because what helps one person land nowhere for the next.

In a first session, expect me to do a lot of listening and honest asking. I want you to feel heard and respected, not managed. From there we move at a pace that fits you, and I'll be straightforward with you about what I'm noticing along the way.

Reaching out for help takes something, and choosing to read this far is already part of that. When you're ready to start that conversation, I'll be here to begin it with you.

I'm a therapist who focuses on talk therapy with adults, including older adults, who are working through anxiety, depression, grief, and the kind of life transitions that quietly reshape how a person sees themselves. Some of the people I meet are navigating strained relationships; others are managing severe mental illness and want a steady partner in that work. I've spent time in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and earlier in my training I worked in an emergency room and specialty clinics, which taught me to stay calm and present when things feel far from calm.

The way I work is collaborative. Early on, I want to understand what's actually going on and what you're hoping will be different, so we can sketch out a roadmap for growth together rather than my handing you a plan. My first session tends to be conversational: we talk through what brought you in, a bit of your history, and how sessions and confidentiality work, and then we start naming goals. After that, our time centers on exploring your thoughts and feelings, noticing the patterns underneath them, and practicing skills you can use outside the room. I draw on DBT, CBT, mindfulness, and solution-focused approaches, but I fit the method to the person, not the other way around. We check in on progress along the way.

I'm a therapist specializing in stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and the kind of adjustment that comes with a life change you didn't necessarily choose. Over 26 years of practice, I've sat with adults across a wide span of ages, from people early in their working lives to those well into their sixties and beyond, who arrive feeling stuck, worn down, or short on the motivation they used to count on.

My approach isn't one-size-fits-all. Some people do best when we look at the thought patterns behind the feelings, so we work in a cognitive behavioral direction. Others need room to be heard without me steering, and I follow their lead. When someone feels pulled in two directions about a change, I lean into motivational interviewing; when the goal is practical and near-term, I keep us solution-focused. Mindfulness threads through much of it. In a first session, expect me to ask a lot of questions and listen closely before we settle on where to start, so the plan actually fits the person in front of me rather than a diagnosis.

I'm honest, I move at a pace that respects where you are, and I treat the work as something we build together. After this many years, I still find each person's situation genuinely different, and I don't pretend otherwise.

I'm a therapist with more than two decades in the counseling field, and my path here has been anything but straight. I've taught special education, instructed psychology, run programs as an executive director, and worked as a lead therapist in outpatient drug treatment, plus years in vocational rehabilitation and disability services. All of that shapes how I sit with people now. I see children, teens, and adults, and I'm at ease with folks who've bounced through a few systems and are ready for something that actually sticks.

I'd describe myself as highly structured but pretty comical about it. Therapy with me has a rhythm: each month, we set three short-term goals, look back at what you actually accomplished, and name a few things you're grateful for. That combination keeps us honest and keeps momentum going. In a first session I want to hear why you're here, what kinds of approaches have or haven't worked for you, and how often you'd like to meet. Expect homework and clear follow-up points, drawn from cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and trauma-focused work, depending on what fits you.

My work as a therapist centers on the moments when people are ready to name what's been holding them back but aren't sure how to move through it. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and my path has taken me from addictions work in high schools, prisons, and residential settings to community programs with adolescents in foster care and adults living with severe mental illness. These days I focus on anxiety, depression, panic, and adjustment concerns, and I do trauma work using EMDR. A good deal of my attention goes to PTSD, self-harm, substance use, and the questions that come with living outside what the world calls typical. I especially connect with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients, and with parents and caregivers who are stretched thin.

I tend to spend the first session or two simply getting a clear picture of where you're coming from and where you'd like to go. From there we set goals together, and I'll revisit them with you over time so they stay honest to what you actually want. I've spent years as a therapist working with people who want to move forward in their own development but aren't quite sure where to start. Much of my background is in prevention and crisis work: I've directed an outreach center, counseled youth through crisis, and spent a long stretch providing drug prevention education for at-risk young people and their families in Lubbock County. These days I see adults across the lifespan, from young adulthood into the later years, and I bring that same steady, practical outlook to every session.

My approach starts with the skills you already have. Rather than handing you a formula, I want to understand what you're naturally good at, and then we use those strengths to shape goals and solutions that fit your life. A session with me is a judgment-free zone, plain and simple. You can put your concerns on the table without bracing for a reaction, and we'll sort through them together at a pace that feels reasonable to you.

Outside of my clinical work, I stay rooted in my community. I chair the HEARD Coalition, which connects youth and families in Lubbock County with drug education and resources, and I've long enjoyed working with foster youth at the Texas Girls and Boys Ranch. I began my work supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing individuals, and later co-founded the Hearing Loss Association of Los Angeles, where I served as its first president. Living in Europe and Asia and working in English, French, and American Sign Language gave me a habit of listening carefully across differences.

I approach therapy with curiosity and kindness, and I care a great deal about honesty, respect, and open communication in the room. When the moment calls for it, I use humor to lighten things and build connection; a little self-disclosure, used well, tends to build trust. A lot of my career has been in the harder rooms: residential care for high-risk youth, inpatient psychiatric settings, intensive outpatient programs for mental health and recovery. I've sat with adolescents and adults at some of their lowest points, and I've learned that lasting change usually starts with getting honest about what's underneath the behavior, not just the behavior itself.

If you've been reacting to things more strongly than you'd like and you don't fully understand why, that's often where my work starts.

I'll be honest, I bring warmth and a fair amount of enthusiasm into the room, and I'll expect you to be an active participant rather than a passenger. My aim isn't for you to leave a session with something vague to think about. You'll leave with a plan of action, detailed steps, and skills that are actually easy to apply the next day, whether that's managing stress, healing from something that hurt you, communicating more clearly, or holding firmer boundaries in your relationships. Along the way, we'll work on understanding how and why certain emotions surface and what's driving those reactions, because naming that usually loosens its grip.

I trained in Georgia, undergrad in Albany and graduate school in Valdosta, and much of my approach centers on restorative self-care and building real emotional awareness over time.

Over the years I've worked in just about every setting you can name, from inpatient units and emergency departments to partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs, schools, and community-based work. That range has taught me that people arrive at very different points, and the work has to fit the person in front of me.

I don't see my job as needing to save the world or empower anyone. I think that framing gets it backward. What I do is work alongside you to find the tools you already carry and the resources in your community, and then use both to move toward what you actually want. Practically, that means we start by getting honest about the root of what's going on rather than only managing the surface, then build a plan that's specific to you and shows real, measurable progress. I lean on approaches like CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused work, and I keep care culturally informed because context matters.

Reaching out and putting words to what's been hard is not a small thing. If you've gotten this far, you've already started the part most people find hardest, and I'd be glad to pick it up with you from there.

I'm a therapist, and most of what I see runs from adjustment struggles, when life throws a new circumstance at someone and they're not sure how to steady themselves, to depression, anxiety, and trauma. I've been doing this work for more than two decades now, across a wide range of ages, from teenagers to adults to folks well into their later years.

I'm eclectic in how I work, and I mean that plainly: people are different, and they need a style that actually fits them, not one I've decided on in advance. So depending on who's in front of me, I might draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused work, mindfulness, DBT, narrative, or something else entirely. What that looks like early on is a lot of me learning how you think and what has and hasn't worked before, so we're not repeating dead ends.

I ask for your feedback often, and I mean it. If something isn't landing, I'd rather know than keep going out of politeness; adjusting the approach is how the outcomes get better. My aim is straightforward, which is to help you get to your own full potential, whatever that looks like for you rather than for me.

Deciding to talk to someone takes something, and following through on it takes more. If you've gotten this far, you've already done the hard part. When you're ready, I'll be glad to start that conversation with you.

I'm a therapist with a particular focus on the adults who come to me feeling stuck somewhere between anxiety, depression, grief, and the kind of life transitions that don't fit neatly into any one box. Over more than eight years I've worked across inpatient psychiatric hospitals, partial and intensive outpatient programs, community mental health, and telehealth, which means I've sat with people in crisis and people simply trying to make sense of what's next. I also see plenty of folks navigating trauma, bipolar disorder, anger, and the strain that shows up in their closest relationships.

I think of therapy as something we do together. My job is to help you find the root of what's going on, not just manage the surface of it, and then build a plan that actually fits your life. In a first session, I'll walk you through how teletherapy and confidentiality work, then spend most of our time getting to know your background and what you want out of this. From there we look honestly at what's hard right now, sketch out a vision for where you'd like to be, and start putting practical tools in place. I lean on CBT and ACT so you leave with something you can actually use between our conversations.

Reaching out for support takes nerve, and if you've read this far, you've already started. When you're ready, I'll be here to take the next step with you.

I trained as a licensed professional counselor, and I mostly work with people navigating depression, anxiety, stress, anger, trauma, abuse, and the kind of life transitions that leave things feeling out of balance. Over more than 15 years I've worked in schools, private practice, residential facilities, and even crime scene crisis counseling, so I've sat with a wide range of situations. A lot of the folks I connect with are teachers, first responders, and young parents, along with anyone who just wants to be seen as who they truly are rather than the role they're expected to play.

I don't run people through a formula. I believe everyone is different, so I build the work around the individual in front of me. In practice, that means we talk plainly about what's actually going on, and I'll draw on tools that fit you, whether that's cognitive behavioral work, solution focused approaches, Trust-Based Relational Intervention, or mindfulness. A first conversation with me tends to be steady and unhurried; I'm listening for what matters to you and paying attention to the parts you might not say outright. I'd rather move at a pace that feels honest than push toward tidy answers.

Reaching out for help takes more than most people give themselves credit for. If you've made it this far, you've already started the harder part, and I'm here when you're ready to keep going.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker who focuses on trauma in its many forms, and I've spent more than a decade in clinical practice. A lot of the people I sit with have lived through intimate partner violence, sexual assault, or the particular kind of trauma that comes from a serious medical or physical health problem. Some are working through substance use alongside all of that. Whatever brought you in, I want the plan we build to be thoughtful and to actually match what you need, not a template I hand every person who walks through the door.

My approach is trauma informed, culturally aware, and centered on you. I lean on training in EMDR, TF-CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing, and I choose the tool that fits the person rather than the other way around. In session, I'll encourage you to notice your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in the present moment, and to widen your own sense of freedom and well-being from there. I consider myself a lifelong learner, and I bring that same curiosity into the room with you.

I teach undergraduate and graduate social work students here in Colorado Springs because staying rooted in my local community matters to me. Mostly, I want to help you recognize your own strengths and hold some compassion for yourself as you go.

The first meeting is just a conversation about what you're facing; we sort out the direction together once I understand it.

I'm a therapist with experience helping adults and older adults work through life's challenges by building on what's already strong in them. My background is a little unusual for talk therapy. Over the years I've worked as a primary, family, adventure, equine, crisis, and expressive arts therapist, across inpatient and outpatient settings as well as private practice, and that range shapes how I show up in a session. I'm trained in Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT, and play therapy, and I hold certifications in life coaching and EAGALA, but I don't lead with a technique. I lead with you.

I tend to be sensitive, direct, and genuine, and I try to keep judgment out of the room entirely. No single method fits every person, so I tailor each session and treatment plan to your particular strengths and goals, drawing on solution-focused work, CBT, DBT, psychoeducation, IFS, and expressive arts as they fit. Early on, a session usually feels like getting oriented together: I want to understand what you're up against, what's worked before, and what you actually want to move toward, so we're building on real footing rather than a checklist.

My style is respectful and meant to leave you feeling more capable, not more managed. Reach out when you're ready to start that work together.

I'm a licensed professional counselor, and I treat anxiety, depression, trauma, and the kind of grief and loss that doesn't follow a tidy timeline. I've been in the mental health field for over 24 years now, across a range of settings. Early on, I worked in an inpatient psychiatric hospital on the child and adolescent unit, and for the past decade I've been in private practice, mostly with adults and older adults sorting through what's weighing on them.

I'll be honest with you: I'm both compassionate and direct. Those two things aren't in tension for me. Much of what I do draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so we'll spend real time noticing the distorted thoughts that keep circling and figuring out how to challenge and reframe them, while reinforcing the habits that actually serve you. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and a Certified Grief Educator, I pay close attention to how loss and past hurt shape the present, but I treat each person as a unique individual rather than a diagnosis. In a first session, expect me to ask questions, listen closely, and start naming patterns out loud with you.

You'll leave that first conversation with a sense of where we're headed. Bring whatever's been hardest to say, and we'll begin making sense of it together.

I'm a therapist specializing in talk therapy with adults and older adults, and I've been part of the mental health field since 2016. Over those years I've worked in a lot of different settings, from elementary schools and high schools to a college campus, and as the on-site mental health therapist in a primary care physician's office. What that taught me is that people bring every part of their lives into a session, physical health, family, work, whatever is on their mind, and no topic is off the table with me.

Before anything else, I want to build rapport, because I don't think real work happens until you actually feel comfortable telling me how you feel. My style leans on cognitive behavioral therapy; I like showing people how our thoughts shape our emotions and then our behaviors and actions, because once you can see that chain, you have something to work with. I also draw on client-centered and DBT approaches, and I offer both individual and group work depending on what fits the person in front of me. Early sessions are less about me steering and more about understanding how you see things and what feels off.

Whether we meet once or keep going for a while, we can take it at a pace that works for you. If some of this fits what you've been looking for, let's start with a conversation and sort out the direction together.

I'm a therapist who focuses on talk therapy for adolescents and adults, and I've worked across nearly every setting a person might land in: intensive inpatient care, schools, and a range of outpatient programs. That range has taught me something simple but easy to forget in this field, which is that no two people arrive with the same story. The care you get should reflect who you actually are, not a template someone applied to you.

I lean on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as my foundation, and I bring in mindfulness and solution-focused work depending on what fits you. Early on, we'll spend time naming what you actually want out of this, then set therapeutic goals together so the work has direction. I'll ask questions, I'll listen closely, and I'll keep studying and researching between sessions because I don't think good care sits still. My aim is to help you grow into the best version of yourself, at a pace that feels workable rather than rushed.

Outside of the office, I garden, read, and spend as much time in nature as I can, so I understand the value of stepping back and tending to something over time. Therapy is a bit like that too.

Reaching out for the first time takes some nerve. If you've gotten this far and something here resonates, that curiosity is worth following.

I've spent years as a therapist treating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, addiction, and the disorienting stretches that come with major life transitions. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and California, and I'm certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which shapes a lot of how I work. I see individuals, couples, and families ages 12 and up, and I've spent a good deal of that time with people whose lives don't fit a tidy template: LGBTQ+ clients, people in non-traditional or complex relationships, and those managing mood disorders, caregiver stress, or concerns around intimacy.

I think everyone arrives with a story that's genuinely their own, so I don't hand out a one-size-fits-all plan. I lean on thoughtful questions more than pronouncements, the kind that help you surface your own insight, your strengths, and solutions that actually mean something to you. In a first session, I'll ask what brought you in and let you tell it at whatever pace feels right; from there we start naming goals and sketching a roadmap that belongs to you. My work draws on CBT and DBT alongside trauma-informed care and mindfulness, but the through line is a partnership built on open, respectful conversation.

Deciding to start therapy takes something. If you've gotten this far into reading about me, you've already done part of the hard work, and I'd be glad to take the next part on with you.

I'm a therapist who focuses on adults and older adults working through life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and the kind of self-esteem struggles that can quietly wear a person down. Deciding to start therapy is a real step, and if you're reading this, you've already taken it. That matters to me.

My approach is client-centered and collaborative. I see therapy as a partnership: we set meaningful goals together, and we adjust them as you gain new insight into what's actually going on. I tend to be calm and patient, and I put a lot of weight on clear communication and genuinely listening, so you feel understood while we work. I draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, and I'll bring in mindfulness and other strategies when they fit what you need rather than forcing you into one method.

Our first session is mostly about getting oriented. I want to understand your background, what brought you in, and what you're hoping will be different, and from there we start shaping a plan you can build on. Over time we identify the challenges clearly and develop practical coping skills you can actually use between sessions.

I try to stay culturally aware and honest in how I work, and I won't pretend to have all the answers on day one. We start with a conversation about where you are and where you'd like to go, and we sort out the path together from there.

Most of my work as a therapist is with adults, including older adults, who are working through trauma, stress, and the patterns that tend to keep them stuck. Some people come to me because something painful is still living in the body long after the event itself; others because their thoughts and compulsions have started running the show. Whatever brings you in, I want it to feel like a place where you're actually heard, seen, and understood, not managed.

I'm trained in Somatic Experiencing, a psychobiological approach to resolving trauma and stress, and in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. I fold those into Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and attachment theory, because no two people arrive with the same story. In practice, that means we might slow down and pay attention to what's happening emotionally, physically, and cognitively in a given moment, rather than staying stuck in your head. I tend to work collaboratively and compassionately, and I'll be honest with you when I think an old pattern is worth challenging.

My aim is to help you build steadier, healthier relationships and live in a way that feels more authentic to you, at a pace that respects where you're starting from.

Deciding to look for a therapist takes something. If you've made it this far, you've already started the work. When you're ready to take the next step, I'll be here to talk it through with you.

I'm a therapist who has spent years treating adults and older adults living with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, panic attacks, grief, and the strain of family conflict or a life that's shifting under them. A lot of the people I sit with are navigating trauma, or a transition they didn't ask for, and they want someone who won't hand them a one-size-fits-all script. I trained through a community mental health agency in Los Angeles, where I worked with people from very different backgrounds facing genuinely complicated circumstances, and that shaped how I practice now.

I think of therapy as both a journey and a destination, so I keep my approach eclectic rather than loyal to any single method. Depending on what fits you, I draw on psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, strengths-based, and dialectical behavioral work, along with EMDR for trauma. Early on, I'm mostly interested in your story: what brought you here, what you're hoping for, and how you actually communicate. From there we build a plan tailored to you rather than to a diagnosis. Over the years, in both education settings and private practice, I've sat with individuals, couples, and families facing depression, anxiety, shaky self-esteem, mood changes, career shifts, and the kind of major life transitions that leave you unsure of your footing. Along the way I trained and certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, Shame-Informed Therapy, and the treatment of eating disorders, so I have a range of tools to draw from depending on what's actually in front of us.

My approach pulls from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered work, but I'm less interested in labeling my method than in figuring out what fits you. Early sessions are practical: I want to understand what's been weighing on you, what you've already tried, and where you'd like to end up. From there we identify the tools that give you real traction, and we go at a pace that respects where you are rather than rushing the process.

I've done this work in a lot of settings: individual, couple, family, and group therapy, along with intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and inpatient groups for people managing co-occurring disorders. For over a decade I also taught psychology and sociology in high schools, colleges, and correctional facilities, which taught me to talk with people wherever they happen to be in life.

I want you to feel heard, valued, and respected, and I put a lot of weight on open communication and mutual trust. Change tends to begin with understanding and acceptance, so early on I spend time getting to know your history, your strengths, and what actually matters to you before we shape a plan around it. You set the pace; I'll encourage you to share what feels most comfortable and meaningful, not what you think you're supposed to say. I draw on ACT, CBT, DBT, REBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused work, and I bring compassion, some honesty, and a bit of humor along the way.

I'm a therapist, and I work with children, teens, and adults through talk therapy. My clients come to me at all different points in their lives, some looking to build practical coping skills, others wanting to make sense of what they're feeling and where it comes from. What matters most to me is that people feel genuinely heard, and that the work we do fits their actual life rather than a one-size-fits-all plan.

I think of therapy as a partnership. Early on, I want to understand your story, what's brought you in, and what you're hoping for, before we settle on any direction. From there we build an individualized plan together, one aimed at building insight, emotional resilience, and skills you can use outside the room, not just inside it. I draw on approaches like CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, but I stay flexible; the method should follow your priorities and comfort level, not the other way around. Compassion, trust, and honest communication are the things I lean on most.

Early sessions tend to feel like a conversation more than an evaluation. I'll ask questions, listen closely, and check in about what's landing and what isn't, so we're always calibrating together.

I care about change that lasts and holds up in everyday life, not just quick relief. If you're thinking about starting, we can begin with a conversation and shape the rest from there.

Most of my work as a therapist is with people carrying the weight of trauma, PTSD, and grief, along with adults navigating postpartum struggles, ADHD, and the particular pressures that come with being LGBTQ+. I've worked across non-profits, schools, academic settings, and private practice, and I especially connect with clients looking for care that pays attention to culture, context, and the full story behind what brought them in. I see adolescents, children, and adults, and I offer sessions in both English and Spanish.

My approach draws on narrative counseling and Internal Family Systems, or "parts" work, to help people re-story their experiences rather than feel defined by them. I also use EFT Tapping for trauma, anxiety, depression, and pain. I work from the belief that you're the one who knows your own life best, so I lean on Motivational Interviewing and harm reduction to support real self-determination rather than hand you a prescribed path.

A first session usually starts with me getting clear on what brought you here and beginning to build a relationship worth trusting. From there we set goals that are concrete and achievable, and I'll be transparent with you as we shape a plan that fits your strengths and your pace. I value open communication and I'll name what I'm noticing rather than keep it to myself.

Over 26 years, I've worked across a lot of different clinical settings, both in person and through telehealth, and I'm licensed in 12 states, which has kept me close to one steady conviction: good behavioral health care should actually be reachable for the people who need it.

My sense is that meaningful change starts with feeling heard and understood, so that's where I begin. I like to talk things through at a pace that feels manageable to you, without rushing toward a fix before I understand what's really going on. I usually start with a comprehensive assessment that covers your personal history, what's bringing you in right now, and where you'd like things to head. From there, we set individualized goals together and build a practical plan I'll adjust as we go and as you make progress. I try to stay open and approachable in the room; trust, collaboration, and respect aren't slogans for me, they're the conditions that make the work possible.

Whether you're a teenager trying to make sense of things, a couple stuck in the same argument, or an adult who just wants a thoughtful person to think alongside, my door is open. When you're ready to start talking things through, I'll be here to listen and figure it out with you.

I trained as a therapist, and I mostly work with adults, including older adults, who are living in the aftermath of trauma or in the middle of a life that has thrown more at them than they expected. My background includes group practice work and time spent in Post-Traumatic Stress retreat settings, which shaped how I sit with people who are carrying pain they haven't been able to set down anywhere else.

The way I work is integrative and trauma-informed, but underneath the approach, what matters most to me is the relationship. I want the people I see to feel genuinely understood, not managed. Early on, I spend real time getting to know your history, what brought you in, and what you actually want out of this, before we shape anything resembling a plan. From there we build something individual to you, at a pace that supports lasting change rather than a quick fix. I tend to focus on helping people reconnect with strengths they'd lost track of and reclaim the story they tell about their own life.

My graduate training is in counseling, with additional study in coaching and athletic administration, so I think a lot about resilience and how people rebuild it. A first session is mostly conversation; you talk, I listen closely, and we figure out together where the work should begin.

Bring whatever's been weighing on you to a first visit, and we'll start sorting through it side by side.
