Biography
I'm a therapist specializing in mood concerns, trauma, substance use, and the interpersonal struggles that tend to surface alongside them. Over the years I've worked across a range of settings, from day treatment and in-home programs to intensive outpatient and ASAM-based substance use care, with adolescents, adults, and older adults. That range has taught me that no two people arrive for the same reason, even when the diagnosis on paper looks similar.
What I care about most is balance: emotional safety on one side, and honest accountability on the other. I want you to feel supported, and I also want us to keep an eye on real growth. We'll start with a thorough look at your history, your concerns, your strengths, and where you'd like to end up, and from there we'll shape goals that actually mean something to you. Sessions with me have a structure to them; we check in on what's working, adjust when it isn't, and keep the pace steady rather than rushed.
I lean on practical, evidence-based methods, including CBT and DBT-informed skills, with a focus on emotional regulation and the kind of stability that holds up over time. My hope is that you leave sessions with tools you can actually use, not just insight.
If that approach fits what you've been looking for, I'd be happy to talk.
