Biography
I'm a therapist who focuses on talk therapy for adults, from people in the thick of their working years to older adults navigating the changes that come with age. I've been licensed across multiple states for more than a decade, with a Master's in Social Work and time spent in both outpatient and inpatient settings. That range has taught me that no two people arrive for the same reason, so I don't come in with a fixed script.
I'm trained in evidence-based models like CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy, along with other brief approaches, and I draw on whichever one actually fits the person in front of me. What matters most early on is trust. I want you to feel heard and respected enough to say the things that are hard to say out loud. Early sessions are mostly about understanding where you are right now and what you'd like to be different.
I value transparency, and I'll be honest with you about what I'm thinking. I also think you should have an active hand in your own care, so we'll set goals together that are specific and realistic, the kind you can actually track rather than vague intentions. You won't be a passenger in this.
Curious whether this way of working would suit you? That's exactly what a first visit is for.
