Biography
I've spent years as a therapist treating adults and older adults through anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and the life transitions that tend to arrive without warning. Along the way I've worked with veterans, children, and adults across inpatient, outpatient, and nonprofit settings, which taught me that no two people walk in with the same story, and therapy is never one-size-fits-all.
I lean toward client-centered, goal-oriented work. My approach is eclectic and grounded in evidence, drawing on CBT, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing depending on what actually fits the person in front of me. Early on, I focus on building rapport in a structured setting where trust has room to grow, and I do a thorough assessment of your history, your needs, and where you'd like to go. From there we shape a treatment plan with clear goals that belong to you, and I stay in your corner with steady support and encouragement as the work unfolds.
I'm also certified in Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention and trained in CAMS, so if you're navigating something that feels dangerous or unbearable, you're not too much for this room.
What I care most about is collaboration. I won't hand you a script; I'll help you find the plan that reflects your life and then walk it with you.
Curious whether this kind of work would suit you? That's exactly what a first conversation is for.
