Biography
My work as a therapist centers on adults and older adults who are moving through a life transition and want a steadier footing while they do it. I've practiced across a range of settings over the years, from telehealth and community health systems to family healing centers and correctional facilities, and that mix has taught me to sit with people wherever they actually are rather than where a treatment manual expects them to be.
I start with a thorough diagnostic assessment because I want to understand your history, your concerns, and what you're hoping to change before we settle on any plan. From there we build it together, and I'll adjust it as I get to know you. My approach is recovery-based, which for me means combining supportive talk therapy with ongoing check-ins on how you're doing and honest conversation about what's working and what isn't. I value open communication, and I'd rather you tell me when something feels off than nod along.
Early sessions tend to feel like a real conversation. I ask questions, I listen closely, and I try to make it clear that being heard and respected here isn't conditional on having your life figured out. I speak both English and Turkish, if that makes talking feel more natural for you.
Curious whether the two of us would work well together? That's exactly what a first visit is for.
