Additionally, I may recommend bringing a therapist into your care team to help facilitate a more comprehensive treatment plan.

I am a board-certified physician specializing in adult psychiatry. I obtained my undergraduate degree from New York University, where I studied psychology and child/adolescent mental health, and received my medical degree from St. George's University in Grenada, before moving back to New York to complete my residency at Morningside and West Mount Sinai Hospitals. Since completion of training, I have practiced and held teaching positions in both the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Department of Harlem Hospital and the inpatient units and psychiatric emergency rooms of Morningside and West Hospitals. I have a wide range of experience treating a diverse spectrum of psychiatric diagnoses and populations.

My practice centers around treating the whole patient: mind, body, and spirit. I believe the judicious use of psychiatric medications, coupled with psychotherapy and alternative treatments such as meditation and yoga, can bring about transformative changes in the lives of those suffering from depression, anxiety, and other mental conditions and life issues. In addition to general adult psychiatry, I received extensive training in one of the nation's largest women's mood disorder programs at The University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and enjoy treating peripartum and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders. I am also well trained in addiction medicine and received additional training in buprenorphine use for opioid addiction.

I am a board-certified adult psychiatrist who has been in practice for over 10 years. I graduated with Honors in Psychology from The University of Florida, received my medical degree from The University of South Alabama School of Medicine, completed a clinical postdoctoral research fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine, and completed my Psychiatry residency training at The University of North Carolina. I am currently obtaining my MBA. After residency, I worked as a psychiatric hospitalist at Trident Medical Center in Charleston and have also worked in private practice. Most recently I served as Chief Medical Officer for an 80-bed psychiatric hospital, Coral Shores Behavioral Hospital in Stuart, FL. I have worked in inpatient units, private practice, and community mental health, as well as served as Chief Medical Officer of a large psychiatric hospital. In 2018 I was awarded the Charleston Choice Award for Best Psychiatrist in Charleston, South Carolina. I currently reside in South Florida.

Is Talkiatry a W-2 employer or do clinicians work as independent 1099 contractors?

Is there a cost to my health system?

  • 100% employer-paid malpractice coverage
  • 401(k) match with employer match and immediate participation
  • Paid time off (PTO), sick time, and 11 paid holidays
  • Continuing Medical Education (CME) stipend and days
  • Flexible scheduling in a fully remote environment
  • Licensing support with upfront coverage of costs
  • Provided technology package for seamless virtual care
  • Virtual faculty practice, inclusive of education, research and engagement opportunities
  • And more
How does compensation work?

Is there a cost to my health system?

Clinicians receive a base salary plus monthly productivity incentives. This structure provides stable income with the ability to increase earnings based on caseload and scheduling preferences. For early-career psychiatrists, it offers a predictable start; for experienced clinicians, it provides scalability with transparency around expectations.

Can I work anywhere?

Is there a cost to my health system?

Yes. Our roles are fully remote within the United States. We also provide multi-state licensure support, so you can expand your reach without added administrative burden.

Do you offer full-time and part-time roles?

Is there a cost to my health system?

Yes, both part-time and full-time scheduling options are available. Clinicians set their own schedules, whether building a panel early in their career, balancing professional and family commitments, or transitioning into retirement.
