Biography
Brenda Hodges is a board-certified Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a second Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Kentucky. Currently, she is licensed in Florida and Kentucky. Brenda has 8 years of experience treating clients with depression, anxiety, low self-worth, effects of trauma and/or abuse, disabilities and chronic illness, and other mental health issues. She has practiced in various settings over her career, including in-patient and community mental health as well as out-patient. Brenda uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, DBT, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and other modalities as needed. She works collaboratively with clients to determine individual needs and goals. She considers working with and helping clients through difficult times in their lives an honor and a privilege. She views all clients as unique and is respected for their individual challenges and strengths.
