Biography
Kristin Puleo (KL) is an experienced clinical psychotherapist who is currently studying functional medicine. She has worked with people at different stages of life and has treated those living with a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), substance use, obsessive compulsive disorder, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. KL has specific training in CBT, MI, person-centered and dialectical behavioral therapy, and experience in psychodynamic and gestalt techniques. She began her career working as a care coordinator through HARP, with those diagnosed with significant persistent disorders. She has also specialized in treating those diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder. KL has experience helping those in crisis along with people managing the effects from past trauma utilizing trauma integration methods.KL provides unconditional positive regard, holds a safe space for catharsis and venting, provides expert-level information within the realms of psychotherapy, and practices mindfulness in each session. With ample knowledge in areas of nutrition and fitness, she worked as a certified personal trainer while providing service as a life coach. She currently studies nutrition as it applies to gut health. During sessions, self-care will be reviewed if indicated as an area designated as a goal to improve.
