Biography
Tammy Williams graduated from Hunter College with a Master's degree in Social Work. Tammy's work is centered on helping her clients manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. Tammy's work is focused on helping professionals and entrepreneurs manage the demands of their work, personal struggles, relationships, and helping them achieve work/life balance. Additionally, Tammy has experience working with a variety of individual clients dealing with an array of disorders such as PTSD, depression, self-esteem, self-worth issues, body image insecurities, grief counseling, couple's counseling, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder. Tammy's experience has included working in clinical settings, private practice, and non-profit organizations where she has gained a plethora of experience that has informed her practice today. Tammy's choice of therapeutic modalities include: Harm Reduction, CBT, DBT and MCBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Supportive Therapy. Currently, Tammy is a full-time psychotherapist. She enjoys assisting her clients in achieving their goals and helping them acquire the skills necessary to maintain a great quality of life.
