Biography
Ardita Avdiu is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with diagnostic privilege (LMHC-D) in New York. She has over five years of experience working with adults and young adults across outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), crisis, and community-based settings. Ardita holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR-informed care, and Functional Family Therapy (FFT), with extensive experience in family systems work.
Ardita values open, honest, and collaborative communication and strives to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel heard and respected. She takes a compassionate, trauma-informed approach and focuses on helping clients build emotional regulation, self-awareness, and tools that support long-term personal growth. She works closely with clients to establish clear and meaningful treatment goals.
Ardita begins by gaining a thorough understanding of each client’s history, concerns, and current challenges. She explores emotional patterns, relational dynamics, and present stressors while collaborating with clients to identify priorities for treatment. From there, she develops individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and adjusts care as clients progress and their needs evolve.
